EQ - 2007 STI, EQ Built Block, VF43, EWG, 91 Octane - 290whp!

Here is another engine build we did recently. After the break-in, we installed an EWG UP and tune it. The car made great power for the simple setup.

Event: Custom Tune/Dyno
Location: Equilibrium Tuning - Fairfield, CA
Ambient Temp: 60 degrees Fahrenheit
Elevation: ~100ft above sea level

Car: 2007 Subaru STI
Tuner: ED @ Equilibrium Tuning
Peak HP at RPM: 290whp @ 5450RPM
Peak Torque at RPM: 314ft-lbs @ 3750RPM
Target Boost: 19psi peak
Fuel: Cali 91 Octane

Engine/Power Modifications:

EQ Tuning Stage 1 Shortblock
EQ Tuning Stage 1 Heads
Catless TBE
TIGWerks EWG UP with Tial 38mm
EQ Tuning Cross-Pipe
Perrin Inlet
AEM CAI
Hallman MBC
Walbro
EQ Custom Tune

I was very happy with the numbers as well as the great power curve. This car maintained a nice flat torque curve and carried peak power really well to redline. I was especially impressed to see these numbers without aftermarket headers!

*** Standard Dyno Chart Disclaimer ***

This dyno reads low and should be compared to the lower reading mustang dynos. Here are some proven numbers and trap speeds for reference:

Stock 02-05 WRX - 155-165whp
Stock 04-07 STI - 210-220whp
Stock 08-11 STI - 195-205whp

265-275whp - 107-108mph traps
300-310whp - 112-113mph traps
325-335whp - 115-116mph traps

Nice. What's involved in your Stage 1 heads?

Is there headroom for more? Ill have a bigger ewg, gr tmic, complete headers, and 3.5 inch tbe.

maybe i should start over for more power. I already make 295 whp with just the cobb ots map and tbe...

Stage 1 heads get a 5/4 angle valve job and decking.

I guarantee your car would not put down 295whp on the Cobb map on our dyno. It's nearly impossible to hit 300whp on our dyno with the stock turbo on 91 octane
