Default GSC Power Division camshafts, springs & retainers, and valves

Sometimes a manufacturer is so good that you feel guilty not spot lighting them to set them away from other manufactures within there respective market of the industry. There are quite a few companies manufacturing camshafts, but none offer the performance, R&D, and quality that GSC Power Division does. For this I feel the need to showcase there product.

Feel free to contact me for advice on which camshafts to use, and for pricing. As true wholesale distributors for the product, it is almost as good as buying direct.

GSC features applications for all EJ series Subaru engines such as non-AVCS, single AVCS, and dual AVCS. They have camshafts for both USDM and JDM/Euro heads.

GSC has 3 different variations of there cams for different styles of builds.

S1 - These will not drop any low end power, but actually cause faster spool of the turbo, creating more power and torque across the entire rpm range. Good for stock turbo or up to 500WHP(GT35R) upgrades. These cams require upgraded valve springs to keep everything safe at high rpm. 268/266 duration.

S2 - These cams are built to suite the high horsepower Subys. With a power range of 500WHP and up, you need some certain mods to utilize the true potential of the S2s. Built motor, with a built/ported head, and a good engine management system. Upgraded valve springs are required. 272/272 duration.

S3 - These cams are built to suite the highest horsepower drag Subys. With a power range of 750-1000WHP and a rev range of 4500-9500rpms, you need some certain mods to utilize the true potential of the S3s. Built motor, with a built/ported head (clearanced for lift), and a standalone engine management system. Upgraded valve springs are required. 282/282 duration.

GSC also offers extremely high quality "beehive" valve spring and titanium retainers to go with there camshafts.

GSC Power-Division Beehive springs feature some of the most impressive manufacturing techniques in the industry. There beehive spring uses an ovate wire which utilizes advanced material heat treatment methods for superior load loss capabilities. What this means to you is there spring has the highest level of spring load retention while still maintaining good fatigue through out the life of the spring. Only the best materials go into the GSC Power-Division Beehive valve spring. Each batch is scrutinized for tensile strength properties, ductility, inclusion content, and fatigue toughness.

The beehive shape is more stable than standard single or dual cylindrical springs. The beehive design which incorporates an ovate wire is more than capable of the performance demands that were previously only matched by a dual springs. With the smaller and lighter retainer used on the beehive valve spring allow for higher RPM and more valve control. So beehive valve springs, with there lighter weight retainers allow for engine's to rev quicker and maintain a more stable valve motion than the traditional cylindrical springs of yesteryear.

Beehive Spring Benefits:
  • Rev faster
  • Lighter components
  • More durable design
  • Less stress on valvetrain components
  • Lower spring frequency for more precise valve control.
  • More valve control equals more aggressive cam profiles
  • All of these items help to return more power for you to enjoy!
The GSC 5043 Beehive valve spring set, and Grade 5 Titanium retainers. This kit is capable of 9500+ RPMS, with as much as 11.5mm lift cams.

5043 Beehive spring pressure:
  • Seat=70 lbs / .400"=173lbs / .590"= Coil bind.

You want the best? Buy GSC.

Coming sometime in March, GSC valves!
