Without having tint on the windshield sunglasses are still a must. I don't have any trouble seeing out the sides/rear with both. 20% as well.

I just had my windows tinted yesterday. I had them done 15% all the way around with just a sun strip across the windshield. For me, they're perfect...not too dark but not too light either.

i always wear sunglasses on sunny days, even with 20% tint all around and 35% tint on the whole windshield.

never had a problem.

Alright, after getting pulled over twice now for my front window tint, I'm getting it redone less dark (ticketed once). Tired of rolling the windows down every time I see a cop.

"Don't get me wrong, I love how the car looks with the tint, but I still gotta ticket you for it." -Upper Dublin Police Officer

Anyone know where I can find the PA state laws on window tint? <- specifically maximum allowed on the front windows

I also plan to get the sun visor strip on the windshield done. Tired of needing to flip the sun visors down ALL the time.

This was the best I could find with a quick search. I was able to find an old pdf from the state, but I'm not sure how relevant it is anymore. This site seems to have decent info though.

Honestly, I think in PA if you don't drive like an asshat and don't go ridiculously dark, you're fine. I have 20% all around and the strip on the windshield. Most Subaru's I've seen around me go even darker too.

My exhaust is ear catching. My tint is 20%. Thinking of redoing the fronts in 35% tint. And the strip...I'm between going 5% limo or 20% to match the rears.

Both times I got pulled over it was raining and overcast. So not only did the windows appear darker, but my usual roll-the-windows-down-as-I-roll-passed-the-cop wasn't happening in the rain.

My exhaust is TurboXS (catted) and by no means is the loudest you've probably heard. I end up usually throwing my car in neutral as an extra precaution when I see the po-po so they don't even look up.

Last time I got pulled over I had the wife in the passenger seat and both dogs in the hatch on the way to the vet. The cop stated he pulled me over for the tint, ran my tags and info and told me have a nice day.

I have a 2012 sport premium in the White Satin Pearl and am looking to get my windows tinted (thinking 20% back/35% front after looking through this thread).

I'm hearing a ton of opinions from different tinting shops in the area about what film brand/type I should go with. Any suggestions on which brand is best for quality as well as price?

Is it really that bad in your area? I have 20% and haven't had any problems. Know a few people with 10-15% even and they've been fine. Though, we make sure not to draw any extra attention to ourselves.

15% all around, with a strip on the windshield. Looks lighter because the front windows are cracked open.

I just did 40% on my sides and back windows and I wish I would have gone darker, probably 30%. At this point I don't think it pays to have it redone. I can post pics later.

I just had mine done and went with 15% all around, it looks great and easy to drive day/night.
I don't have pics yet but I'll work on it!

Can't stand uneven tint. Defeats the purpose IMO. Here's mine with 18% all around. The car actually came this way but the amount of tint matches my previous vehicles that I've had tinted to 18%. I'd rather risk getting in trouble for it than rolling around at legal limit of 35% in Oregon.

How far do you usually do your windshields? I want to do mine, but I usually where sunglasses, and being six feet my head is kind of close to roof, so I don't want it to go to far and be dark, but I want something up there. Opinions?
