Anyone know where i can get the wedge tool looking thing that would allow me to do the install for tweeters? i don't have a name for it so searching for it's a little tough.

http://techinfo.subaru.com/proxy/663...zaTweeters.pdf

I know the same tool is used for prying apart various interior/dash pieces.

Base Audi A3 with Quatro and no other options is 32k, just did the build it on audi's website, add cold weather pkg, roof rails and it's 35k. Plus Audi quality isn't very good either, parts to fix it are really expensive and resale value is low. Plus I think it's a bit smaller.

Default lease a 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i(base Trim ) hatchback, CVT

In SF Bayarea , try to find a lease for a 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i(base Trim ) hatchback, CVT Automatic w/ no other options.

-Anyone know what is the money factor ? and residual value ? for the 36 months lease?

-All the Advertisement say 42 months , but the 2012 Subaru Impreza 3 years warranty , that's why i want 36 months

-For price, edmunds.com said Invoice is $18,865, can I get close to that?

I just got a dark grey Sport, and have been pricing some things.
I have the moonroof, but will use my phone for navi. Thule bike rack system around $300 new. Subaru has the all weather mats for $54, last I looked. The wheel locks, also from Subaru are $23 to $30.
That's all I've priced so far, Good Luck!
Already ordered it, those part prices include installation, not sure why they need to add installation cost to floor mats, pretty sure I could figure out how to install those.

Personally, I don't know why anyone would buy an A3 instead of a Golf, they're essentially the same car.
I thought about the A3, then I was going to go with the wrx, but gas mileage is poor and stop and go traffic with a stick is a pain, decided to go with Impreza becuase I have a small, hard to get in / out of parking spot in an urban environment with lots of snow, usually lots of snow, not this year though. Commute is 40miles round trip, so the 36 highway mpg was the factor that pushed me into the impreza.

Anybody else getting an odd noise from the engine bay when the car is "engine braking"? I wrote it off as normal when I first started driving but It seems to be changing to a whine. I'm taking the car to the dealer but wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

The dealer we're ordering from has ordered 30 so far since the start of the year because they can't get any on the lot. I would think with no dealers being able to keep hatches in stock, there would be some mark-up, or at least that a mark-up might be coming.

We're getting our sport limited with options for invoice through the SOA VIP program, and I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Who here has gotten their car for $750 under invoice? I'm always up for saving money, so if you can tell me where I can save another $750 under invoice, speak up!
I got my sport premium hatch 5spd for 20k(dealer invoice) plus another $400 for accessories and taxes..

Nice! From everything I've seen here and in the pricing thread, it seems like people are betting better deals up in NorCal than here in SoCal

I'm thinking of using a crappy wallet card (something i don't use anymore) to try. If that doesn't work, i may have to invest in these tools. sure beats the hell out of bending plastics or breaking tabs.

Getting my Sport Premium 5spd for invoice price. Wasn't happy with what the dealer was offering for trade in on my current vehicle, so was able to have him meet me by only charging me invoice. However, as soon as we sat down to talk he said he was willing to go down $400 from the intial asking, without hardly any inquiring.

Oh, and I'm on the east coast

What state? So are you paying invoice or $400 minus invoice? Plus doc fees?

Ohio, invoice ($20595) plus tax. No doc fee as I didn't order it, the dealer already had it in transit.

Doc fees are not for ordering, they are usually attributed to the paperwork of processing the purchase and to pay for them to going to the DMV for your registration and such.

Sheesh. Sorry. I was tired when I first saw that. Wasn't paying attention to the accessory prices. Thought they weren't retail prices. If you order one from us, we'll certainly do the invoice thing(not below), but the dealerships in our district won't be doing too much haggling right now since none of us are getting inventory. We are not the high sales dealerships. We are selling them as fast(actually faster) as they get here.

i understand charging more for cars that are on the lot because of overhead of keeping them there. if you're ordering it there's not much overhead and the dealer never really touches the car. Invoice is still a very good price for this car.

Default Upgraded tweeters by kicker

Installed the tweeters made by kicker today; paid $119 from the dealership (as part of my $500 gift). You can definitely tell the high frequency sounds apart from the speaker sounds now; a lot crisper. Overall, not bad given the price and how easy of an install it is:

Kicker on the left and stock on the right:

Have a beer and then reverse the install. cake.

I have a Sport Limited, and live in a small city here in So Cal, and haven't seen 1 other new Subaru other then mine. It is pretty cool, people are always checking it out.

Thanks for the pics bad snacky! Interesting, the stock tweeter looks more like a mid-range speaker. It probably acts like one too since I don't hear much high frequency sounds coming from it. I may do this upgrade!
