Very nice thread.
I have a few guns and go to the sportsman center often. I know a few of the range officers there so I usually shoot for free. Every so often there is a Utah class there, but I always seem to miss it. Id be very interested in a class.

Would it kill you to use a little bit of punctuation? Damn it, reading that made my brain hurt.

MA and RI are "may issue", highly discretionary and they almost always deny non-resident applications. You can usually get MA on appeal but RI is more difficult. MA is only a 1 year permit. So they're really not worth the effort unless you do business in those states, especially considering the "trap":

On all future handgun/CCW permits (from any state) you will then need to check Yes on the question that asks if you've ever been denied for a handgun permit. Saying Yes to that question is automatic denial in some states and in others you will have to make your case with documentation (every single time you apply for any permit for the rest of your days). If you live in NJ it will make your Permit to Purchase Handgun application take even longer assuming you don't get denied outright. Huge hassle.

The permits I have (listed in my previous post) are all "shall issue" and are easy to get. They also last many years. These will allow you to carry in 39 states if you have your NYS carry permit, 38 states otherwise. Still can't go wrong with just UT and FL.

One caveat, for NV you will need to travel to Las Vegas (major bummer ) for a couple days to take a short class the 1st day and visit the police department the 2nd.

Hopefully one day we'll all be like VT!

Nothing good in jersey anymore. Shore shot in Jackson is the only place I know of now. I used to go to Rays sport shop in north Plainfield till it closed down.

These are the main ones I shoot. If anyone wants to shoot outdoors, which I prefer, there is a great range call Wicens(the farm) In Furlong PA. I mainly go during the week...Wed,Thur,Fri.

Hello folks.

I recently aquired this from another outstanding member, however, as much as I LOVE this gun, I really need the money for some important bills that need paid. However, if it doesn't sell this week I'm keeping it, since I will be getting my paycheck.

This is a Ruger 10/22 gatling gun kit with 2 Ruger 10/22s. I'm sure most of you know how this works. It's 2 rugers side by side, with a crank than engages each trigger allowing you to shoot very rapidly! With the cost of .22lr so low, you'll be able to plink and shoot all day long! This gun is incredibly fun, and will impress your friends, and everyone at the range! However, DO NOT attach any sort of motor to the crank mechanism. The BATFE considers that to be modifying it into an illegal machine gun!!! You can fire this plenty fast enough without breaking the law!!!

I live in jersey shore..I'm a member at the Brick Armory in Lakewood NJ..they have indoor range that can shoot pistol, rifle, and shotguns...up to .50 bmg..almost anything but birdshot..there are other ranges like Shore Shot which is in the same area..Central Jersey rod n gun in Jackson but it is expensive to become a member..around 200 a yr in dues and a one time 400 or so initiation fee..Tips hardware in manahawkin is constructing an indoor range as we speak I believe.

I'm down for a shooting range day. Was talking to a friend about doing this soon. I'm about to apply for a permit in NJ as well, just dreading the length of time this is going to take to get approved.
