yeah, because telling a person not to go to someone that over charges and does not do their job correctly is all about popularity.

Most of these people don't have any real world first (or even second) hand knowledge of any tuner but their own, and hell sometimes that's questionable.*

Grippy has done a ton for the community in the information contribution department. Any discoveries he finds are made public. He doesn't say things like "don't ask me about this or that because I'm not telling you"

You have a contest based on community votes, you bet your ass it's going to have a lot to do with who they are in the community.

Just because abcdsg did a fkin sweet job on your gauge install and another shop did an awesome DP install job doesn't make either one of them the best shop around.

Whenever people ask me about my build I say the same damn thing, "I don't like ____ because of (insert my rather long and detailed experience here)." It doesn't mean that they are or aren't a reputable place, it just means that given the choice, I wouldn't go there for that reason. Would I go there for another project? I don't see why not. If I went to abc for a build I wouldn't go to xyz for troubleshooting, but I don't see why xyz couldn't roll my fenders or something.

It's not about who is saying something, it's about what is being said, and what I quoted above is 100% truth.

This contest is about an AutoX Subaru, not what one person has done for the community, if he's done a lot for the community and that's your only answer as to why he should win a AutoX poll then suggest that as the next TopScoob contest, but this contest is not what it's about.

Vote for anyone who YOU feel fits the criteria and sparks your interest the most for that criteria, that's how I interpret the Top Scoob contests.
