It's from a short run of exhaust tips made for BMWs by a company that no longer makes them. So, it's unique to Subarus.

No picking, but I don't believe that's a sealed battery. In other words, it's off-gassing into your trunk. You should either get a sealed battery, or put that in a box with a vent tube. Much better for your health.

Nope. Just a piece of foam that I shaped and fiberglassed over. That's where I got the idea though.

^^

I was thinking about doing this, I ended up making a similar handle out of aluminum. I found it pretty awkward actually grabbing it like a ski pole, I ended up resting my hand on top of it most of the time. This one is a lot higher though, it looks more comfortable.

This thread is awesome.

I really like the guy who did the clock up at the top by the map lights, BTW your blue interior is pimpin'!

Also, the USB key and push to start is sick, I want something simple like that in my STi

I shaved the wiper squirters, and relocated them to the wiper cowl. I cut a tight hole for them, and used a little CA glue and metal glaze to finish them off.

Because you asked so nicely

So, I took some thick meaty hedge trimmers (used for cutting small trees/branches) and clipped off the right length of the pole. Then I took a file used for sharpening... wait for it... ski edges. Filed down the cut I made so I don't stab anything.

Now, because I couldn't figure out the threaded length for the shifter knob I kinda Rusty-rigged it. I duct-taped the threaded area until it was thick enough to have the same width as the ski pole. Then I jammed it into place.

Once I figure out the threaded size of the shifter, I'll clean it up a bit, but it works for now!

EDIT: found out the size is M12x1.25, so I'll buy a hex-nut and clean it up a bit!
