Also, anyone have some pics with the hood protector on their car? I wonder it's effectiveness as well as I've never had one of those on a vehicle I owned.

I am not sure, i was wiping down my car yesterday and noticed it. probably a rock on the highway. i was thinking of adding the hood protector as well.

After some time, doesnt the paint fade on the rest of the car and the clear bra 3mm film area still look new? thats the only thing that makes me hesitant on adding it on.

Paint fade was never a problem with my blue Element, using Eagle1 "Wax as you dry" regularly. Our marine blue imp is pretty close to the same color and will be getting Eagle1 products for care. E1 doesn't build up in cracks, which might be a problem with some waxes on the Xpel edges.

3) Grab a spray bottle or a bucket of water. Wet your finger tips so you don't put fingerprints on the sticky surface. Spray the fog light with a mist or flick some water on there from the bucket (I didn't have a spray bottle).

4) With your wetted fingertips pull the film off of its backing and apply to the foglight.

5) Grab a credit card or something for a squeegee. Start to push the water out to the edges and start flattening the film on the light. It may seem like there is no way a flat film will sit smoothly on the domed light but keep working the film until it sits evenly.

6) Enjoy and don't wash or touch the film for 3 days or so to let it set.

Well I know if you put a leather bra on the front, and left it on for several years, and then removed it then yes this would happen. But I'm not sure how it would go with a clear bra. Since it really shouldn't be filtering out any of the UV rays.

I can't believe how much the hood protector is. But It really probably is worth it, if you don't mind the look.

Just an FYI, Headlight Armor charges 17 plus about 7 shipping for the film. You can buy a piece of tinted adhesive film on ebay for under 6 shipped.

Of course quality may be an issue, but there are multiple vendors.

Quick question about the 5 door impreza. Does the key Fob open the hatch when you push the button? I've been reading things that says it doesn't. Thanks for your help.

It doesn't pop the trunk if that's what you're asking. There is a button to open the hatch that you need to push in order to open it.

^^^ Correct. It doesn't open the hatch. However the "trunk" button you'll see on the key fob does independently unlock the trunk or hatch so you can use it in a parking lot to retrieve items from your thatch without unlocking the entire car. But after its been unlocked, on the hatch you have to manually open the hatch with a button (instead of a keyhole); it doesn't pop open like some cars do.

Hope that helps.

The sedan does pop open when you hit the trunk release on the remote. No button on the sedan trunk.

I was pleasantly surprised when I hit the remote trunk button and I heard a solenoid pop the trunk.

Is there a engine temperature gauge for the Impreza? I didn't see any on the dash, maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks

No temp gauge there are two lights - blue to indicate when the engine is not fully warmed up and red for overheating

That plasti-dip stuff is kinda cool. I'm thinking camo green emblems and front grill (on the silver parts). Wait, red badges on dgm, including the roof rails, hahaha.

I bought a 2012 Base 5-speed as a daily driver for work.

Came with the hub caps, i couldn't do it, so i got some wheels off tire rack and tinted the windows.

I recently added the Spoiler and the fog light kit, as well as debadged it.

Just got "My 5th Subaru" Badge of Ownership!
