you can centre the rear wheel by spacing the trailing arm bracket, same as in the front with the transverse links

I just measured the opening. It's just about 29 and 3/4+". There's 2" in back and 1" in front of the tire. The most would need to do is about 1/2". You probably can't get 29s in there. But you could 225/70R16 (28.5") if you centered it. I'm probably going to leave it and do Yoko Geolander 215/70R16 (28").

I went back and looked at a pre-lifted picture. Even pre-lifted the rear wheel is a bit forward in the opening.

Lifting with just spacers on the struts, will there be any additional stress or wear and tear and the cv/axles?
I have spacers at home that are either 1.5" or 2", they came with the Scorpion lift kit for my 2003 Baja. |

I would say yes as you are increasing the angle on the CV joints. It's not much but it is greater than stock.

Lifted king springs on Outback suspension, I don't think the lift is as much a factor as my driving habits but it sure isn't helping matters.

No trailing arms. It has a rear arm that's part of the hub.
I don't think that just spacing the rear arm bracket will center the rear wheel. It might get it back a little. It might even go back to the stock location but that isn't centered either. I'm going to try to modify the OEM bracket. I'm going to fill the original holes and redrill them about 1/2" back. |

If you go 3" you will have issues.. with kings and subtle 1" spacer blocks it's more like 2.5" -2 3/4" after spring sag..(once the weight settles down. ). A body lift of 2" will correct angles. However, now body lifts are available unless you make one. Australia has lift kits.. ![]() |

VERY NICE! Love the rock crawling action! Question will I need camber alignment after a 2" spacer lift?

On mine ('07 OB) I ended up with no camber issues. The tech was able to get factory spec camber front and rear (no adj for rear). But the toe on the rear ended up slightly toe out.

I have Outback trailing arm brackets. Actually, the whole Outback conversion is there. Essentially, all you need to do is lower the forward mount as much as the knuckle is lowered and it will be the same position as factory
