Still not a ZR-1
I could hear the conversation... "ZR-1... nice... 639hp" "No actually this is the ZL610" "WTF is that?..." "Well... kind of like ZR-1... but 610hp" "why didn't you just get the ZR-1...?" "Well ... uh ... I don't know how to drive manual... and I like convertible" "..." |

I'd buy the Z06 and call it a day, something about having a 427 under the hood that makes the heart flutter!

this is like having a sexy axe murder as a girlfriend, you love her and lust after her, but she could kill you at anytime.
![]() personally i would get the gtr- spend a few grand on it and spank this and the zr1 around the track and call it a day, and still enjoy driving it in a dd application, but it must sell since its still around |

with that much power, its probably easier to drive an auto down the 1/4 than a 6 speed manual. This package is geared more towards the straight liners than the track guys like the c6z and zr1...
this thing may not catch a lot of good comments here due the domestic hate on nasioc... but the c6's are pretty much the only car GM got right |

If I had the money to buy one of these, I wouldn't be on NASIOC looking for approval :P

lol i dont think its about approval, different strokes for different folks and if you say something on any kind of forum you better be ready to listen to other peoples opinion and not get upset if it does not conform to yours, this car is like the viper, shouldnt be given or built for the average joe, anything with that kinda of power in a rwd format is a disaster waiting to happen in the hands of 99% of people. or 99% of the time, most of the power is going to be unused .

I know some Corvette people that want a removable roof, and that's the main reason why they haven't gone for the Z06 from the standard car. So I see the appeal of this car. However, I would personally spend the extra $5k and go ZR1 at that point.

"Well, besides costing about $5,700 less, SLP offers variety. Want a ZR1 convertible or one with a targa roof? Too bad. Want an automatic transmission? Forget it; row your own damn gears. The ZL610, however, can provide ZR1 speed with sun and a six-speed automatic."
Are you also a girl!? Well the ZL610 is right up your alley! |
