This is a car we built recently. He just finished the break-in and came in for the final tune:
Event: Custom Tune/Dyno Location: Equilibrium Tuning - Fairfield, CA Ambient Temp: 75 degrees Fahrenheit Elevation: ~100ft above sea level Car: 2010 Subaru STI Tuner: ED @ Equilibrium Tuning Peak HP at RPM: 338whp @ 6350RPM Peak Torque at RPM: 335ft-lbs @ 4200RPM Target Boost: 20psi Fuel: Cali 91 Octane Engine/Power Modifications: EQ Stage 2 Shortblock EQ Stage 2 Heads (stock cams and valves) ATP GTX 3071 Turbo with integrated EWG Process West TMIC Perrin 3" Inlet AMR Big MAF CAI Tomei UEL Headers + UP TBE EQ 1000cc Injectors Walbro Fuel Pump EQ Custom Tune on 91 Octane ![]() This is the first experience I've had with the GTX3071. It seems to make similar power to the GT3076 with slightly better spool. On the street we saw 20psi by 3800RPM in 3rd gear. The car drives very nicely and response feels great all around. Next up is 100 octane or E85 .*** Standard Dyno Chart Disclaimer *** This dyno reads low and should be compared to the lower reading mustang dynos. Here are some proven numbers and trap speeds for reference: Stock 02-05 WRX - 155-165whp Stock 04-07 STI - 215-220whp Stock 08-11 STI - 190-200whp 265-275whp - 107-108mph traps 300-310whp - 112-113mph traps 325-335whp - 115-116mph traps 350-360whp - 118-120mph traps Thanks -- Ed

Finally gtx3071 numbers!! and from a reputable tuner none the less..Just as we all suspected, basically gt30r power curve and nice to see a possible decrease in spool...
nice job again |

Were there diminishing returns as you turned the boost up?
It makes sense that it performs like a 3076. I don't have experience with 91 to know what a reasonable pressure ratio is. I'd convert from my 3582 if I could get that boost threshold and crack 400 on stock cams on 92. |

I normally like the bigger turbine wheel, but Im getting older and prefer to shift less. The gtx3576 is ridiculously priced and is not even being considered. |

Any reason you didnt go rotated? Ive been looking into a rotated setup and keeping the stock sti TMIC and keeping it super conservative till i break cyl4.

I've been waiting for a dyno of the GTx3071r. I'm really excited to see the results on E85

Ed, any updates? Any chance he'll be back in for an E85 map?

Only update is that he beat a new Mustang 5.0 with cams, headers, exhaust, intake, and tune... supposedly they do about 500bph with those mods but I have no idea how much it was actually making.
He will need larger injectors for E85 on this turbo. I know he plans on doing it eventually but he's just enjoying this for now. -- Ed |

On e85 do you think 450-475 is a safe power estimate at the wheels?
