Default DRT Components vs Rally Armor UR Mud Flaps

Acquired a set of these used. They still look pretty much new. I have to say the fitment is nicer and it's a little wider and taller than the Rally Armor URs. Sometimes in odd angles the Rally Armor mudflaps looks small or weird on the the car. They're made the same thickness and they do cost less than the Rally Armor URs. Basically you get more for your buck. Another thing I noticed if the mounting holes on these. The inside mounting hole for the rear flaps are stronger due to the flaps being larger. I've accidentally ripped one of the Rally Armor inside hole when I was not careful. Had to use gorilla glue to glue it back because I didn't have epoxy or crazy glue, but it works. Anyways I don't think the DRT mud flaps will rip like that.

Good comparison, I have seen a lot of people asking. Personally I have and like Rally Armors, I like they way they look better, because I live on a dirt road and although I like the look, I don't like really wide ones but I want good protection.
I also like how the Rally Armors are rounded, just my $0.02 though.

When I had my STi I ran RA basics and enjoyed them, but there was always something that they were lacking that I couldn't put my finger on. Once I saw the DRT flaps I figured it out right away, the RA flaps just weren't as aggressive.

I picked up a set of the DRT flaps and once they were on the car I loved them, you can see the difference in the above pics. Although they look squared, the corners are rounded and the flap itself is slightly longer and wider.

+1 for DRT!!

Overall to me these look great and not overly wide. As stated sometimes the Rally Armors kinda look weird in odd angles. Reminds me of oven mitts because they are rounded out.

Thanks for doing this side by side. I'm looking at getting rid of my Flapatax mudflaps and was trying to figure out which ones I would get. Looks like DRT wins for me. Also, any pics of the hardware differences?

MAJOR + for DRT: The Logo is laser etched into the Urethane. It WILL NOT fade.

RallyArmor's printed logo, on the other hand, will fade, or chip off.

Has anyone put the DRT's on a '11 4-door? They say there for the Hatchbacks, but is there a difference?

Wanted to know the same thing. What are others people using or is RA the only option for the '11 sedan right now?

These mudflaps still look great and they hold well since the review. Didn't rip like the RA URs did.
