I like those wheels a lot. They are very popular on Mazda's. I told my brother to get them for his MS3.

Washed the STi few days ago. also took the red pin stripe off the grill and threw on some yellow fog light overlays. color matched trunk trim will be on the car this weekend. enjoy

So...I have always had this theory to car modding that no one part should ever stick out. Actually, I am obsessed with the theory to the point that my entire car's modding timeline is actually laid out on a spreadsheet with colors and specs.
Every single part put on the car should be planned carefully to keep the flow of the body lines and the eye's attention on what really matters...the entire look of the car. Far too many times I see people that like a certain part or look and they put it on their car because they liked it on another car - but it doesn't flow. I also think the term ricer gets thrown around because of a lot of cars that do not take that into consideration. They just throw on a bunch of random parts that do not work well together. Well I proved that to myself today on my own. For awhile now I have had some red lugs sitting in the garage so I decided to try them out on one wheel (bored Sunday while the kid too a nap). They look terrible on my car. While red lugs work great on others...mine just doesn't work due to the modifications I have done in conjunction with the silver paint. The way I have it with the black lugs. ![]() With red lugs. Notice how your eye goes "hey...red lug nuts" instead of wheels...caliper or overall look of the front clip? ![]() |

Get the new black center caps from work, and maybe silver/Gunmetal lugs would look okay, red would look decent if you had anything red on the car, but you don't.

Agree with the red lug nuts, they do pop out and only grab your attention to the color. Not the calipers, rotors, wheel combination.
Although it could go with the car if it had some other red. To the trained eye, you would notice the red nuts and move on to what else lies behind |

![]() and nice jack pretty sure i have the same one, harbor freight? Quote:
as long as it's a good clear coat on them, coat them with a nice sealant/wax before you put them on, then use a nice wheels cleaner and power washer, they will be clean forever. just have to keep it from building up thats all. |
