Not yet - but I'm monitoring it. I've got a Scangauge mounted in place of my center dash clock and run with my alternater voltage on one of the read outs. I've got to turn all my lights on and run my winch to see if the voltage stays at 14.1 and then test the amperage as well. But so far, no issues.

A winch? Oh baby, can I get some details about that please? How'd you find a suitable mount, how well has it performed? Can you remove it easily?

That is really badass!

Talking

woohoo! The FedEx guy showed up this morning!

Get-Primitive light bar

temporary fitting of the lights so I can figure how I want to run the harness. I'm thinking some ADL clamps and split loom should do the trick.

Hopefully be able to mount it this weekend. The bar comes with all the things needed to install it(even a hole saw). Very good construction and great customer service. This bar was worth the $$$ and wait.

It mounts through the bumper using the crash beam mounting bolts.

The bar was $395 shipped through fedex. Took only 2 days from oregon to cali.

A little pricey but it's solid as a rock!

How thick are the bars it's made from? 1/2"?

The mounting hole.

the reinforcement beam bolt goes through here and secures the bar to the beam.

And the bar is 1" O.D. Thickness, not sure. It's not too heavy a wall. The whole bar only weighs about 12lbs.

Oh and a quick shot of the light mounting tabs.

This thing is really well put together. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any of the Primitive products after seeing this piece.

I like the look of the light bar at the top of this page a bit more, but it's super pricey. Maybe I'll just get a local shop to weld a receiver-type setup for a bar on my bugeye.

Yeah I don't care about removing it. But I can actually remove it in probably 3mins(No exaggeration) it's only 4 bolts that are easily accessible and a plug for the lights. Maybe easier than most other bars out there. But if it's the holes that concern you I get that. But that wago is 10yrs old and the bumper it covered in chips and pitts

Ah, I would, but I'm gonna have a local guy design something for me that will do double duty as a brush guard and a light bar, then I can off-road with my soon-to-be 2" lift and have a spot to mount the Rigid Industries LED light bar I want to get. Probably a 10" combo light and add 2 4" or 6" floods later on for some turning lights. FWIW though, I do run Paul's skid plate, and I would pobably run one of his light bars if I didn't have to ship, and hadn't started a plan already.
