I thought about getting one of those kits around three years ago but I just couldn't buy into the theory that the car needed more ground in the engine bay. Since my light bar should be installed soon, maybe I should clean up the car when I install the extra lights. I am thinking about Hella's black magic since my beast is black. I can't wait to put back my black Baccarat's back on with the Black light bar and a set of Black magic's.

Word of advice, don't ever buy a godspeed bov. They are awful beyond belief. I took the whole thing apart and rebuilt it. 2 of the bolts were stripped out from the factory, 1 hole was not even tapped with threads. What a joke.

Anyhow, took 8 hours but I finally got it installed. Still waiting on a couple of t-bolt clamps cause they sent me the wrong size.

The grounding mod did help on my blue car. I kept getting noise through my CB and HAM radio. Soooo they can be good but they are mostly a joke.

I have 2 BOV's sitting in my garage and I was recommended using STI's stock BOV. I have a CAI and I still have the whoooosh but not too hard. I still get compliments about the sound but if they only knew it's a stock BOV.
I would have never purchased a godspeed, GFB work real good in Subarus. Send that junk back and teach them a lesson not to take advantage of good people. It wasn't free therefore you shouldn't be going thru that much aggravation.

I'm "sold" about the extra grounding since it has been such a voodoo on subaru's. I guess it doesn't hurt to run a few extra grounding points.

I agree about the bov, I have the gfb 50/50 valve, its high quality and you can just turn it to adjust how much is recirc and vta. Worth 200+ bucks even though the need for a bov is debatable all together. BTW, isn't godspeed the same company that sells those gigantic intercoolers on eBay?

Well it works for now. Perhaps in the future I won't go back to the days of my honda civic and buy such trash.

I reused the stock recirc pipe so the sti bov was not an option. I do not vent to the atmosphere for tuning reasons.

Surprisingly the godspeed bov works very well since I rebuilt the damn thing piece by piece. It is still crappily made though.

I had a couple of sets of bent lateral links off of STI's laying around and at first made a pitch mount for my STI when I upgraded the clutch. I loved it so much that I made one for my baja today.

It is stronger than ANY pitch mount you can buy. Check it out.

Here are some pics I have learned to upload for now. I am loving my new light bar by Gorilla and my new lamps. Just in love with the car right now.

Yep, the bumper is stock but it needs a good buff.

The thread on dirtyimpreza.com shows it's just under $500 for the basic guard, not including undertray or any other options. Did you really pay that much? PM me if you're not comfortable posting here.

Looks like they took my advice on the upper bar mount near the license plate frame. Still not stainless steel like mine though. Looks great. Where is the superwinch?

No superwinch because I have no use for it right now. Maybe I'll get Hella Black's for the bar but that will be it. They did a great job with the bar and the powdercoat and the size of the bar. Just perfect. I have waited for years and it finally paid off. I am a big fan of my own car

Like that, looks real bad. I believe subiesleeper68 is silver with black rims. Here are two vids of his. I purchased his exhaust over two years ago. sounds amazing. can you tell while he is doing donuts in the snow.

Correction - your input was never sought before, during, or after the fabrication of the Gorilla Light Bar.

OK... Need advice from people then. What color do you think would look good on a all silver Baja using 00RS 6spoke rims?
