I am having troubles with EcuFlash not wanting to read my ROM on my 07 WRX I posted this in the OpenEcu.org forums but was wondering if maybe someone here has a solution to this. The cable is an op2 and the computer is a compaq with vista. Any help would be great thanks.

Ok I will try the 1.42 and run it as admin. The program itself seems to be working fine it just doesnt seem to be recognizing my car. But the cable works fine with RomRaider.
![]() This was with 1.43 but it was doing the same thing with 1.42 |

I just went thru this on window 7. I have a post about 5 or 6 down from yours.
In options, do you have your "metadata directory" pointing at the "Subaru" file or the "rommetadata" file? |

For folks searching:
For EcuFlash: 1. Download the latest EcuFlash definitions file. Choose the file with the units you wish to use (metric or standard). 2. Delete the “Subaru” folder (backing up if necessary) in the Metadata directory specified in File->Options menu of EcuFlash (ex. C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\). 3. Unzip the new Subaru definition folder into the same directory (rommetadata). 4. Make sure your Metadata directory is pointing to C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata Not C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\Subaru |

I had the same problem with my laptop. It was running windows 7starter edition. RomRaider worked fine but ecu flash would not recognize the car. Upgraded to a better version of windows 7 and the program works perfectly
