even though it's AWD you still need to rotate tires...

In your owners manuel you will see that it is suggested to rotate your tires evey 7500 mile and also to make sure your tire pressure is correct, and/or if you are getting pre-mature wear
Just a suggested recomendation from Subaru

If your tires get more than 3/32" of total circumference, difference from any other given tire it will cause a failure in the transfer clutches that control the all wheel drive. your front tires will wear faster than the rears (even in an AWD system)

Wait wait, you're complaining because they offered you a service that will help extend the life of your tires, and because they don't have the specific synthetic brand you want?

On a completely different note, Scott is a great guy to work with. I ordered a part during their memorial day sale that they had on NASIOC, and was given a day that it should be ready. The day came and I stopped by, but Scott told me that Subaru is using a new shipping company and their parts shipments would be delayed and it would be a few more days until they could get the part. I asked him if he was willing to see if I could pick up the part from another dealer if they had it in stock. Scott was nice enough to check inventories from other dealers, call them, bill the part to him, and let me pick it up without any extra hassle other than showing them my Puente Hills invoice.

If you need parts, definitely recommend Scott at Puente Hills. The sales dept on the other hand, not so much. The sales people congregate right outside the showroom door, and since I arrived in a Subaru, when I had to walk through that group of people to get to the door, my presence wasn't even acknowledged by any of them. That's the first time it's ever happened to me, and I've been to a decent amount of dealerships in my car, especially when I was helping a friend find a Subaru.

I bought my car there a few weeks ago. Talked to Brian Champagne via email and phone before hand and had everything figured out before I even drove out there. It was a great experience dealing with them and couldnt be happier about how it all went. When I got there it was super easy, they knew I was coming and were waiting for me, granted it was 8:30 at night, and was on my way home by 10:00. Everything went very smooth. During the negotiation it did seem that there was no wiggle room on the price but it was already lower than every other dealer's but he was still able to work with me on the numbers and I walked out a very proud Subie owner.

I agree the wait to get written up is arduous at best but can you really blame them for not taking you without an appointment?

ive never had an appointment ever at any dealership. walk ins were always welcomed with open arms. ive been to puente more than a dozen times before the new management and it was usually never an issue. ive paid a lot of money here for parts/work and i am truly disappointed with what this place is like now. Before either brian or bigdog usually walks out and greets me, and jokes around with me about bs while writing me up.
RIP puente hills subaru

All i have to say is i bought my 10 WRX from Cathy there at PHS...she's the only one i'd deal with...and scott is cool to deal with from parts.

Cathy worked out the agreement over the phone/email. I walked in and signed paperwork, they detailed the car up and i was on my way. She even gave me her personal discount for fog lights and roof racks. She was great and next year i'll be giving her a call to buy my STI

As for Brian...he's a douche! I test drove a wrx before buying mine and told him that "i was just looking...i'm not going to buy today. There is nothing you can say to me that will get me in this car today" Since my habit is never to make snap decisions at all. I wait at least 24 hrs until buying major purchases...he got all angry when i said thanks for the test drive and i'll let him know...told me i wasted his time. I've never been so angry at a salesman...he treated me like a teen looking for a free ride...mind you, i'm thirty (but i do look rather young...thank you taco bell preservatives)

In a nutshell...

Parts = Good

Service = Good

Cathy Price = Great

Puente Hills Subaru = biggest douch bag clowns ever.

I don't have time to write a novel regarding their incompetence, however I will tell you to steer clear of this place. Leo, sales manager, et al.

I had a great experience with them when I bought my wrx..I dealt with frank and he didn't shove anything at me and was pretty much straight forward with everything. Sucks to hear some.of you having bad experiences..I never dealt with the sales manager thought so maybe that has something to do with it.

Bought my car from Cathy and I have to say she is the best of them all. I got a WRX 11. I was not able to bring down the price much but she did help with the trade-in. This was my first time buying a new car myself but I have been to a lot with family and this was the easiest of them all. Service is a bit slow for me and I hate how they tell me there are fresh cookies but I have yet to seen them and I been there all times of the day.
Cathy is the to-go lady because she also answer all my questions and did not pressure me at all. Told me there was only two cars there but she also looked up all the cars in there system and found the one I wanted. She also hooked it up with a discount for parts. Over all a great buying experience.

I am looking to buy used legacy from Puente Hills and they are trying to add in this "prestige package" to the cars value $1295. They say this covers the 30 day warranty and the full 152 point inspection they provide for all used subarus. Shouldnt that already be provided? i cant get the dealer to drop that price.

Anyone have a better contact that i can deal with at this dealer?

They changed owners after I got my car from them. I don't know anyone from there anymore. It is not the same for me. I am on a look out for a better dealership.

Unhappy

unfortunately, I ended up buying the car(2013 STI limited) from this dealership with the worst experience ever with financial dept. Only reason I bought from them is they have a stock I can pick up. They even cheat the numbers of amounts on contracts, you should be very careful about it. The sales persons seem to be kind enough but they are lack of knowledge on car. I think I might need to look around other dealerships to get scheduled survives not because of their service quality but not good enough trust...not sure how Subaru US does not have any service quality controls on dealerships...so bad...I love my STI but I have no wonder people go for BMW or Toyota instead...
