Quick question, does anyone know if a front lip for an 08-10 sti will fit my 12 wrx? And if so, is the fitment nice?

I did it with my 2011 had an 08 sti lip on it, had to mod it and it still didnt look as good as one designed for the new bumper style

had a bayson R 08 sti lip on my car. had to hack it to fit, while it looked good from some angles, looks bad from others. the problem is that all of the 08 lips aren't WIDE enough, the 11+ front end is a bit wider so the lip doesn't quite cover it all.

also thebigevilfoot put an 07 sti lip on his, but that thing was about 4 inches too short so he cut it up.

here are older pictures, the lip was beat the **** up

in this picture you can see the gap where i had to trim it, the angle at which the 08 lip goes up is far more steep than the 11+

funny, he's running 275's and is as low as you. i'm just saying, that looks like **** with all that space, thats why i went to a bigger tire size. btw, you put in a roll center kit after slamming it that low to correct the geometry?

and if you wanted to be that slammed and look good, you should have went with a +27, atleast that would have been flush. either way, car looks good, just gotta fine tune the minor things.

why wait for the warranty to expire? Get an AP and then they will never know you went stage 1.

Wrong. Read more before responding, and suggesting people commit fraud.

it's more a matter of finances and wanting to do it right. So by the time the warranty expires, i'll have enough funds to do stage 1 + exhaust hopefully
Right now, with Wrx insurrance and loans, it's a bit tough to spend more $$ on the subaru.

As long as you flash back to the stock map there is no way they can tell. I did my research and that's why I went the route that I did. one of the reasons car manufactures de-tune their cars is so they can post hp gains yearly with or changing anything.

Jive: Yeah i'll probably just end up buying the 2011 one then. It's just frustrating when you can find 08 sti one's for $70 vs all the 2011 one's are around $150.

I'm not going to lie either, that's a pretty bad move you made on a perfectly good car.

disagree completely. I think that looks sick actually, and i'm not even a fan of uniquely colored wheels. Get a drop and some wheel spacers and it would look even better imo.

Yeah i'm not understanding what they're getting at either. The flat black was done nicely and doesn't look patchy and the wheels are unique without being in your face (no offense to those who have brightly colored wheels). It's a nice subtle color change and combination. It reminds me of neochrome.
