Hi,
I just finished reinstalling steering knuckles on my 05 Saab 92x. I am running front 06 WRX brakes. After reinstalling new ball joints and tie rod ends, I just slapped the brake rotors and calipers the way they came off. Was I supposed to compress the calipers? The calipers seemed to be seized closed.

If you didn't do any brake work than you should be able to just reinstall the rotors and calipers. They should just slide back into place. Now if somehow in the process the brake pedal was pushed down while the caliper was off than you would have to compress the pistons back to get the calipers back over the rotors.
