I know videos don't do justice so that's why I'm trying to ask people here for their personal experience. I've asked around to see if I could hear some in person but there's not much in my area I don't think So I have to go off the videos/opinions on forums. I'm so tired of looking around for something! I just want a pretty loud CBE but not the loudest most ridiculous thing out there.

Maybe the Perrin quad tipped? Thats a little over my price range but I hear its good.. and loud but not too loud like the magnaflow.. thoughts?
Look into the borla atak quad tipped exhaust. its not eye turning loud, deep tones, no or very minimal droan (I don't notice any).

you usually need to use homedepot hardware for exhausts

I didn't use the donut gasket and mine didn't leak. The bolts that come with the q300 work fine use the gold colored ones. Line the gasket up before you tighten it. I installed on my sedan so hit me up with any questions.

Mine leaked without the oem donut. I believe it's suggested that it is used for the application.

I installed the Cobb DP and catback on my 08 and I am very pleased. Fit and finish is first rate! Initially I was concerned about sound as I am old and am NOT looking for the typical Subaru rumble our making the damn thing louder. The Cobb has a resonator out of the box and combined with their catted downpipe I am happy with how it sounds.

We dynoed the full before and after stage 2 and I will be sure to post the results once I finish the write up.

I bought mine a while ago, that second link is a new axleback that they must have come out with recently. So in other words I have their original axleback with a magnaflow muffler + their midpipe with NO resonator. My setup is pretty quiet but it sounds really good. I do sometimes crave a bit more sound at times, so depending on what you're looking for, I would seriously consider an axleback with their in-house mufflers which will be a bit louder than the old design that uses a magnaflow muffler.

got my Q300 cat-back with the Titanium burnt tips for my sedan. Looks amazing and sounds great. Also got a great deal on it. No drone that I could notice on the highway and it can be quiet when you need it to driving around town.

TurboXS is starting to annoy me now. I've had this small rattle during part throttle around 3000 rpm, and only when in gear moving, so it makes it harder to pinpoint. Went under the car today and loosened everything up, put a piece of foam on the swaybar near the flange and made sure none of the heatshields were rubbing, then tightened everything back up. Took it for a spin and it is still rattling. I'm starting to think its a baffle in the muffler that is causing this. It definitely sounds like its coming from the rear of the car and not the mid heatshield.

I had the same problem with mine and it had gotten to the point where I was fed up with it. I was gonna go under the car and try to fix it but it's been happening less and less so I put it off and now I can't even remember when the last time was I heard it? I dunno how long you've had yours on but mine has been on for probably 2 months or so. I feel like its mellowed out a bit and the rattle has seemingly disappeared.

I had mine for a little less than 2 months. Almost sounds like a metal on metal ringing. Last resort is to remove the heatshield but I doubt it's that.

This has been excellent help to me as i am trying to decide what to put on my 2011 STI Hatch; I am now between the Cobb and the Invidia Q300. But i am worried about a resonance drone between 2K & 3K rpm. Which is recommended for all of you?

I had a rattle too when I had a TXS turboback on my 2010 WRX. Turned out to be inside of the muffler section. I unbolted the muffler section and made a video of my shaking it and it was clearly audible that something was loose inside the canister. I contacted TXS and they sent me a new axle back with return shipping label. Once replaced it was all good for a while but I then traded in the car.

I got ya. I had the same plan but I couldn't resist. Not to mention cobb showed me proof in a seminar that stock subaru maps are not very good for the motor. I plan on having this car long after the warranty so I wanted to get a better safer tune asap. Just food for thought.
