Are you kidding me Canucks.

What the hell was that. How can you not even score once???

It looks like a long pull of 4 in a row. Not impossible.

Let's put it together !

The Canucks as an organization promoted these playoffs as

Quote:
“THIS IS WHAT WE LIVE FOR”
so please play like you mean it. We are getting our chances but shots to the crest of the jersey isn't going to help. Let's finish Wednesday's game on a high note and come back to Vancouver with a win. GO CANUCKS GO!

so much for a nucks/pens Stanley Cup finals that the experts were predicted.

They are right on track, except to play for something else other than the Stanley Cup this year, as they could very well be the first teams to NOT play for the cup

Yeah, good news. Danny is heading to LA and he will join the team practice on Tuesday. Hopeful, they will redeem themselves. Last chance.

as much as I want them to, I don't see them winning the next 4 games. I hope he not rushing back because they are losing. all it takes is one bad hit, ie: crosby. write off this playoff season, and make sure daniel is 100% for next year

At least we're not doing as badly as the Pens.

End result is the same - both teams down 0-3. I wonder would Thursday be the day of the 2 highly favourite Cup finalist to bow out of the first round being swept

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be a clean sweep. It's not impossible to come back!

Just last year we were up 3 games to Chicago, they came back and took it to game 7 ot.

I'm not saying its going to happen, but it is possible! And I'll believe that till its impossible, and then have a good summer and wait for next season

A bit OT: Torres hit on Hossa. Oh, the ironing...
http://news.google.ca/news/more?pz=1...mPM80su92QO2HM

Don't condone hits like this at all, but I couldn't help but remember many Hawks fans that were so pleased about the Keith hit and thinking... karma.

^^
the hit I dont think is worthy of suspension indefinately, Hossa got caught with his head down. The pittbull is short anyway, I think it should be ok...

So tonight, who do we see?

Luongo?
or
Schneider?

But how much can we fetch for Luongo, if we actually find a willing trade partner (and if we actually wanted to go that route)? Definitely won't be keeping both unless Schneider is willing to take a massive pay cut but gets way more start, and even then, Luongo would probably not be happy with that arrangement

There is apparently a buy out option in luongo's contract for next year? Something like $1.5 mil per season left.... Seems like best option to me.

I can't see why you would start Luongo for the rest of the LA series - we have blown all margin for mistakes, and we already know we have a better playoff goaltender in Schneider than Luongo even though officially Luongo is the incumbent #1. The problem is now psychological - the players need a goalie to keep the game tight to start until they get their legs (Which is a problem), and Luongo has a lower success rate than Schneider in that regard. Throw Luongo in there, you might get it 60-70%, but Schneider might do for 80-90%. With Luongo, goals tend to come in bunches when the team in front of him play poorly, while Schneider's performance don't drop off all that much when he has very little defensive support.

Someone needs to work on the stats on how each of them fare when the team in front of them plays like crap - my gut feeling is that Schneider's number looks better, but is that the way you play though, as in play like crap and let the goalie bail you out. You need a Ryan Miller for that (or even a younger Luongo in Florida might do that).

At least we're not Philly or Pittsburg and actually need to find goaltending where there is none...
