Anyone going to the UMass car show this weekend? I'll give you gas money if you can drop something off at one of the vendor booths for me. I'll also give you a couple of my tri-state decals.

I have a Kseries del sol and a '11 STI.

Starting to think I'm a ricer

Douche in a 3series coupe must have thought I was racing him yesterday when really I was late for work.

there is a new turn of events, had the car towed to a body shop where it will be getting repaired, called his insurance to get an appraiser on his end out to see the car only to find out that he had the state minimum coverage of 5k. my car was appraised at 11k in damages, and that's before they got into and the appraiser said the price should go up 20-50% from that. so looks like my insurance is going to have to fix this. i honestly don't know how this turn of events will get worse at this point. oh and the bumper got messed up going up the tow truck, but they are fixing that...

/rant. i'm going to drive this corolla off a cliff.

i can't sue him, now how the law works. i can't criminally charge him with anything, i'm alive. the only thing i can sue is his insurance policy for damages, which i won't get anything if the MRI i take doesn't show any damages.

Bruce, correct me if i'm wrong but if i'm not injured, or damaged for life i can't sue him on the simple rounds of a moral lose, and for him to cover out of pocket expenses right?

He's already going to get the book thrown at him for the whole mess. Nothing else you can do criminally.

As far as the insurance stuff goes, your insurance company will handle it. They will wind up suing his insurance company back channel and you never have to deal with it. If they lose, you'll never know about it.

Honestly I just hope that you don't have any long term injuries. Those are the absolute worst. No amount of money ever makes it right again.

Seriously. That's the worst. Especially since they still haven't even started work on it yet.

Have either of the adjusters indicated frame damage? If it's just sheet metal, it will be fine when you get it back.

their adjuster isn't even coming out, since they told me to basically go **** myself on the phone because his insurance won't even cover a part of this.

and they didn't say for sure. they said it MIGHT be because of the kink in the C-pilar.

His insurance will get sued by your insurance the end. Just a waiting game is all. Your car may still be totalled out.

Should I bother calling my insurance? Or am I just sitting waiting for the attorney to make all these calls.

Nah give them a call. Let them know his insurance company basically told you to **** off.

I'm not sure that you need a lawyer doing this stuff for you at this point. Your insurance company is on your side until they aren't - then you throw a lawyer into the mix to get **** done.

Your insurance company will hire an attorney. Probably one from my firm.

Anyone in here have an upgraded pitch stop? I'm curious as to the difference in NVH. I know it will fix the problem I have, but I'm curious as to what cost.

I believe that there is an SPT pitch stop for the GRs. That one is made of a harder rubber than the stock one. It'll be less NVH than a solid one like the Kartboy one.

I looked at that but I'm pretty sure that's the same as the Group N since Subaru is consolidating that stuff. Right? Maybe that's all I need though.

I'd really love to ride in a car that has an upgraded pitch stop so I can see if the noise is tolerable.

Not sure if it'll fit but I have one you can have. I think it's the Group N/STi one. I thought they were just a gimmick and not worth it on a daily driver. Also didn't want the added vibration and rattling.

The group n one adds very little nvh, barely noticeable. I had a solid metal one that was adjustable with pivot bearings on each end, forget the brand. That was crazy loud. No experience with the Kartboy variety.

Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I'm looking for one for my forester as the stock one has 190k miles. Want to do upgraded motor mounts too. Nick, if Patrick doesn't want it, what do you want for yours, should work fine in my car.

And, if you guys had a $10,000 budget for a reliable used car that will get driven 40-50k miles a year and last another 2-3 years what would guys recommend?
