You were looking good out there Greg. An E tune on that would be awesome, lots of torque. I'm hating my turbo more and more. So much lag that I am using full throttle before most turns start to turn in so I have boost on the way out.

So Lap Battle and NASA have different rules? I was under the impression that we were following NASA rules; hence the rule changes this year. I dont know the guys name I spoke with but I found him on a corvette forum. I was told they use to not be able to run it but changed the ruling to allow a 50/50 mix as long as its not the main fuel source. I agree Meth is a bad choice for the track but it works really well on the street and thats why I have it. Lap Battle says "Methanol and other equivalent exotic fuels are not permitted", I see that as it being a main fuel source and not a supplement since it also states leaded fuel is permited. Let me know Biggie if I really cant run Water/Meth and how we are to know who's rules to follow since it seems to be a mix of NASA and Lap Battle.

The rules to follow are on lapbattle.com under time attack.

Ive seen those but from what I was told before we were going by NASA rules. Thats why we changed so many things this year. Also it isn't clear about Water/Meth injection. All it says is you can not use Methanol it does not say anything about water/meth injection systems. Thats why I searched NASA to make sure it is ok to run.

Yes i believe this is correct but we have a mix of NASA regulations too (cage, floor pan, etc). its a hybrid to help the Utah folks possibly get into other NASA events (HPD/wheel to wheel/timed events).

In an effort to help local competitors continue on to national level time attack events, Lap Battle is using a revised version of the Global Time Attack rules.

I've been dealing with misinformation a lot lately. If you do not know or understand something, please do not speculate! Posting an incorrect opinion only adds confusion, and inevitably creates more work for me. That's why I started the other thread, there is so much random information in this thread that is not at all correct.

The Current Lap Battle rules are GTA rules(It says they are GTA's rules in the first paragraph) with 1 single exception. And that is "required roll cages" in the Unlimited Class. In an effort to help smooth out the transition to the new rules, we have made the cage rule optional until August at which time a NASA legal roll cage will be REQUIRED to run in the Unlimited class. This is not a NASA rule, it is a GTA rule. Again, as of August 1st the rules will be 100% GTA with no exceptions.

As far as primary and secondary fuels... It is a bunch of nonsense! A fuel is a fuel... End of story. 60% Ethanol and 40% Nitromethane is NOT legal in Limited!

Well I dont think I deserve a response like that but thanks for the info. I hope you can see my confussion though. It does not say anything about Water/Meth injection and it is no secret I run it in my car. Saying a fuel is a fuel seems a dark aera in this case where I put in 12 parts 91, 1 part air, .1 part Meth and .1 part water. But rules are rules and I can only agree to follow them. But maybe next time Biggie talk to me directly and with a little better of an attitude.

The first part of my response wasn't directed at you, it was a pretty general statement regarding several issues that I have been dealing with for over 5 month or longer.

The second part was mainly directed at Todd, it explained the Lap Battle VS GTA rule misconceptions.

That last part was directed at you... I'm sorry if "nonsense" was too harsh, "incorrect" would have been a better word to use. Anyway...I'm sure you meant that you are running 12 parts air, 1 part gasoline and 0.1 part meth. That makes your fuel 10% Meth!

I did get it backwards with the air and fuel; also it was a guess of how much meth went in, just tryig to show how little goes into the motor. And it doesn't make it 10% since it only comes on at 15psi. Now I know that Water/Meth mixed and Meth alone is not allowed. I guess its a good thing I ran out last time and had to run straight water for the last 2 sessions.

Nice work.

PS Are you using a gopro? If you set the setting to get the white balance for the center of the image you'll probably be able to see the track better.
