Default Jblm sponsor to get on base

A buddy and I tried to on base to skate the new skateboard park and they told us we needed a sponsor to get on base, we never needed one before so does that mean we need a active duty military person to get us on?

If you don't have a military ID you will need someone to sponsor you to get on base.

Yes. An active duty Soldier probably won't sponsor you without meeting you and knowing you're cool. None of us want to be responsible for someone if they end up doing something dumb on post. Come out to the Tacoma meet or something and meet some of us. Post in the Lewis meet/Tacoma meet threads and introduce yourself etc. I'd say that's the best place to start.

It doesn't have to be AD, but anyone with a mil ID (reservist/dependants/etc). You best bet is to have your skating boards friends that are on base sponsor you.

I see you name is Oly. You in a Olympia? I skate over at the Lacey park and there are quite a few guys there that can get you in. Just gotta find a day that works for everyone.

Edit: and I've heard the plaza is ok. Not super awesome, but better than a lot of stuff.

Ah that makes sense. Well there are maybe 4 or 5 kids that are there from military moves, and they told me that as long as I'm with them, gettin on is no problem. Maybe time to start skating the other side of town. Ha
