Default Extreme Turbo Systems - 04-07 Subaru STI Intercooler Kit w/ Titanium Piping

We had a local customer bring his 06 STI into the shop for a FMIC w/ Titanium Piping. The vehicle should be back in on Monday for some customizations. The customer was not aware that we made a turbo kit for this vehicle and purchased a used Perrin kit from another forum member. We are going to build custom titanium piping to hook directly to the Perrin turbo kit. We will also spray a logo on the front of his intercooler at this time as well. Stay tuned for more pictures

This intercooler is the same size as our Evolution 8 intercoolers which support over 750whp with an option for a 4.0" and 5.0" core which will support over 1000whp.

Thanks!

Michael

I think he's looking for around 450-500. Once you get that power you always want more i see something bigger in the future for sure. We are building our shop right now. I will start a thread once we get it back in the shop with a PT6466 Hoping for mid to upper 700's

That looks awesome, is there any plans for a kit with titanium piping for 02+ WRX's?

Thanks for the kit guys. It makes me smile everytime I see it. My favorite is looking through the hood scoop and you see those blue piping... so sick.

(Gonna help you with pics Michael)

It there anyway to make the core the size of a APS 525? Love the setup, only problem is the FMIC core does not fit the front grill of the 04-07 STi very nicely. Looks much better when you just see the core and no end tanks, anyway to fab a smaller core so you can cut less of the bumper and hid the end tanks like the APS FMIC kits?

Yes, they are available I'm having him add it to the website right now. The FMIC is priced the same as the 08 Titanium Kit.

The larger core adds more pressure drop to the system and is not needed for supporting the power. Our 24x12x3.5 core supports over 650whp, this is the exact core we use on our 700hp Evolutions, we also offer a 4.0" thick version for the guys pushing their cars a bit harder.

That did not answer my question at all, I never asked about the cores pressure drop. I asked if you can make a better looking core, look at the core in your picture! Anyone have a picture of there APS FMIC? The whole core of the FMIC covers the hole in the front bumper, your core is much shorter and you can see the endtanks of the FMIC. Anyway you can make a longer core so th end tanks are not visible? The FMIC kit looks great with the exception of the core of the FMIC.

He did answer your question. A longer core than they offer is not need and will add pressure drop. If you dont want to see the ends cover them with some ti sheeting or go find a aps core.

So you'd rather have a intercooler too big for your setup as long as it fills the bumper?
