new dual projector headlights. i previously had side-emmitting white LEDs along the inside base of glass... but all the LEDs burn out way too fast so i had to start fresh.

im surprised at the contrast btwn the bluegreen/white of HIDs and yellow of traditional bulbs

im a newbie so cannot post pics here. here is a link to them

Ahhh, that explains it. When I first saw the pictures, I was at work on a crappy laptop, so I thought maybe it was just poor resolution making the tires look tiny. Now I see they actually are tiny!

I would do 235/40-18s or even 245/35-18s if I were you. The 245s might look a little pinched on the 8" wheels, but according to the couple tires I checked on Tire Rack, they are spec'd for 8" wheels, and the 245/35 is almost exactly the same height as the stock tire. The 235/40s will be a little taller, but I think will fit the wheels better. I've 235/40s on my 8" wheels (mine are 17s vice 18s) and the sidewalls line up pretty much perfectly with the wheels.

He retro fitted projectors. He mentions it somewhere on SLI.

Do you have any pics? I am not really sure what size tire I'm set on yet. I want to get rid of the fender gap so I am also going to be dropping the car a tad more.

getting wider tires with a taller sidewall will eliminate the wheel gap without having to drop the car even more...

a 225/40 will fill up some of the gap but not all of it. Looking around it seems like 225/40 are the best deal and way more tires are offered in 225/40 than the other sizes.

What are you going to do with the front bumper? It doesn't lineup and flow with sideskirts.

I've got a plan for it. It'll be a first as far as I know. I'll leave it as a surprise though.
