well, whoever buys this console is going to have to spend it if I give it to you.
So... no.
besides, 40 bucks? If it isn't worth 40 bucks to you, why bother? Not like you use them when you're driving right?

Between this and Dave's posts this thread is really not showing your shop in a very good light.

Really?
Because I won't sell you a cupholder?

Is it that bad that I don't want to separate a perfectly good console for a cupholder? Over 40 bucks?

Let me expand on this:

part out is for people who need hard to find or normally way overpriced items.

Example, Wiring harness: For new harnesses it's over 2800 dollars. For just the harness
TMIC's: New STi TMICs run over 700 dollars from Subaru.
Steering wheels: crazy expensive new.

All these items you get at very low prices used. Trying save 10 bucks on a 40 dollar cup holder is not what this is about. It's not what I want to sell parts for. I'm offering a near complete interior so that someone who wants a swap can do so for a good price. Not get an item that's missing a bunch of stuff off of it.

it that puts us in a bad light, then so be it. I'm sorry my logic is hard for you to understand Nick.

My apologies. Based on the quote above I thought it was a potential option if the whole console didn't sell. I'm sorry if I misunderstood that then. Won't bring it up again, have a nice day.

Sorry if you thought I was being inflammatory.

but that was also before I looked up the price.

Not that...but for once I agree with Nipp. At least try to engage in a conversation with someone that doesn't have a hint of a condescending tone or belittling...Nipp isn't the only one that read the last few posts and thought "wow, what a bunch of ********".

Not all of us understand how part outs go. Just because you guys deal with a lot of high end stuff doesn't mean the little people aren't looking for other parts as well.

Sometimes I forget that this new age of e-hugging and e-feelings is so strong upon us. Then this breaks into some long thread about "internet tone" and all that BS.

I could have been a true ******* and just said "stop being cheap and buy a ****ing cup holder". Then everyone would have flipped out even worse.

Never mind the fact that I obviously spent the time to find the guy the right part number for his cup holder and give it to him. I was a little condescending and, of course, that's what everyone focuses on. I was so bugged because I was certain the guy just didn't know what it costs. So many parts are crazy expensive and when I checked the price I thought "this guy just doesn't realize it's so cheap". When he said he knew, then I was angry. I brought myself back from the brink of poverty when the economy collapsed in 08. I had nothing. My wife split for no apparent reason, lost my house, business I worked for went under and my savings depleted fast. I worked my ass off to get where I am now and my financial situation still isn't that great, but I'm proud of what I've done and accomplished in the last few years. Even now I only pay myself 29k a year and I'm not that cheap.

Is it right for me to point it out? Probably not. If I was a regular person and not a vendor most people would overlook it. However, since I'm a big bad vendor everyone takes the opportunity to make statements and take shots. Like I'm the big corporation that is taking advantage of people, ruining our country and paying off government officials to look the other way.

Well I'm not. I built my business on my skill and my word. I will continue to be straight with people and not kiss ass. If you want a kiss ass company to buy a motor from, we're not it. Sorry.

In the end though, it's a cupholder people. A $40 dollar part that somehow was significant enough to ruin everyone's day. Which I honestly don't understand, because at the end of the day you can say whatever you want on the forums and it won't have any real effect on your life or your income. I, on the other hand, have my posts held against me until I die and they can directly affect my income and my well being.

So if I have a bad day or post something that might rub you wrong, you're a bigger ******* for making a big deal out of it. Which is why most people do it. They get pleasure out of it. They sit in their chair and think "yeah, take that [business]! I'm going to hurt your sales by dragging your name through the mud!" First one to do it was a Moderator who I thought was my friend. A friend would maybe put that post in a PM and say "hey buddy, bad day or something? Not sure if you realized it or not, but you kinda sounded like a dick in that post. Maybe you should edit it or apologize." Instead, my "friend" calls me out in front of everyone which could have a direct impact on my well being. Great friend. So of course I respond back to his post angry.

In the end, if you aren't a vendor, let **** slide... get over it. It really doesn't affect you. You make it what it is. You make the conscious decision to get bent out of shape over something you could have possibly misunderstood. It's on you. Don't be a cry baby.
