AKIC PotM May: Spring Cleaning!

This is the May edition of Alaska Impreza Chapter's Pic of the Month. The theme is:

Spring Cleaning!

This theme was picked by granny. The object is to take a picture of your car at a car wash or during the moment it's being washed.

Examples:

Rules:
- Picture has to be taken during the month of May, 2012
- Can be taken with any camera device
- Doesn't have to be you taking the picture
- Can be edited or photoshopped
- Only 1 entry per person
- Try to keep it appropriate and family-friendly

Deadline: Sunday, May 27th, 11:59PM. PM or email them to me.

Prize: retraC Engineering is sponsoring with winner's choice of a full driveline service (transmission/rear diff) or 2 hours of labor ($150 value!).

As always, be creative, be safe and, of course, HAVE FUN!

Sure. All it has to be is your car being washed. Doesn't have to be you washing it or even taking the picture.

I don't take AKIC seriously enough to have hard feelings, except getting points from Kiwi, but that's more of an anti-authority thing. Among my peers, not so much.

And I apologize for dashing your dreams. I'm a homewrecker, too, just in case you're keeping tabs.

I thought I'd share this from the Forester Forum. Here are some ideas for consideration for future RsOTM.

January:
- "Dyno Time"
- show your Forester working out on the treadmill (obviously we don't have an AWD dyno but with some imagination, this could be changed up)
February:
- "Non-Foz showdown"
- for those excluded from other months
March:
- "Snowball Fight"
- show your Forester out in the snow
April:
- "April Showers bring Mud"
- get down and dirty, spring is here
May:
- "Life in the City"
- show your Forester downtown, in a back alley, or at the abandoned shoe factory
June:
- "Professional Driver on a Closed Course"
- autoX and lapping photos of your Forester, any form of racing can enter as long as it's off the streets
July:
- "Road Work Ahead"
- show your Forester amongst the traffic cones or surrounded by construction equipment
August:
- "Get it wet"
- show your Forester at the beach, lake, river, or just out with the kayaks or being washed
September:
- "Put your back into it"
- show your Forester towing or hauling
October:
- "At home in the wild"
- show your Forester out in the forest/woods/trails/off-road
November:
- "Turning a new Leaf"
- Seasonal/fall foliage
December:
- "Holiday Cheer"
- seasonal themed photos, ANY holiday applies

These are the rules they use...
Same rules as always:

-Photos must be in hosted format and embedded in your post
-No more than 4 photo's per entrant
-Polls will begin when we get 10 entries or January 19th, whichever happens first.

For sure, these could be mixed up, rearranged, use one or two, or totally disregarded. But, I thought it had some cool themes.

Thanks, Bob! I kind of like the idea of people posting their own entries, and then just opening up the poll after the deadline. I forgot I had seen it done like that.

I also like it that way because it takes responsibility off me for hosting the pics. haha
