I'm in need of a car, but I'm limited to $4500. Has to be auto because the wife will be driving it too.

What do you guys think about this:

Lots of miles, but I remember some of the members here had some pretty high mileage WRX's that were still chugging along just fine.

BTW, did any of you drop by American TV on the East side lately? There was a silver 11' or 12' WRX/STI on the parking lot. It looked really nice.

Hey guys we are trying to get a bunch of the Milwaukee guys to head out that way for the show in June and maybe get you guys to head out this way for our show at Subaru City June 23rd. We now have Mitsubishi so we are trying to get EVO guys to come as well. I think we could get some really good crowds if we could start to get more areas to meet up. Here the link

Well if everything goes right and the weather holds out the engine will be out this weekend. The short block will be ordered tomorrow witht the gasket kit and I hopefully will be driving my wrx agin by next weekend. First "new" engine I've had so what's recommended for break in procedure and do I go with synthetic oil or stick with my tried and true conventional and every 3k changes. Thoughts?

also im getting thinking that itt is a ring on the piston right? #2 cylinder hd only 25lbs of compression and the leak down blew it right out of the oil filler tube (burning lots of oil and smoking real bad).....could it really be anything else?

My experience may trump your environment for the first growing season. After that, I concede as you have year round growing habitat, but o will challenge you to a snowman building contest in january in each of our prospective backyards.

when putting the cams back in my 2.0L i want to put some silicone on the both sides of the in/ex outside caps and a bit in the middle between the caps right since there is no screw to hold that one down?

ok and to go along with this as well all cams should rotate freely by hand when sitting in the head right? my drivers exhaust is a real pain to move and kinda concerns me...
