Well, that is really debatable. For me, it was totally worth it. I have done much suspension work and most bushings, so the car handled well and just needed some more power (sleeper-ish is a plus too lol) I also didn't have the time to do an STI swap, I also didn't want to trade it in for a WRX just to pay another $200 in insurance per month, and I also couldn't give up the gas mileage I was getting (actually quite a bit better now) SO for me, this made sense, plus I feel an attachment to my car. Other people possibly not. If you want to run with the WRXs, get a WRX. I am happy with my work and the out come! |

fwiw, my ej25 went from about 100 whp to 220 whp at 6 psi with a turbo kit and poor tuning on the same before/after dyno. I also seriously doubt you were ever at 170whp before adding boost.

Where is your MAF located? Does the kit allow for its positioning to be altered?
I'm looking at this kit, but I would want to position my MAF closer to my intake manifold. And, on the intake side of the BOV. |

I still admire that you installed this kits yourself and endured through the hurdles. Your car seems to be coming into stride now. I agree with 100% if you are attached to your car and dont want to let it go there is no greater joy than a major mod that goes incident free. Your car is a real world low to mid range RPM delight.

Does this kit come with a air filter? On their site it lists "AVO Power air filter kit (optional)".
With out their optional kit, are you forced to use another filter? |

So just the filter? Sweet! Thats much cheaper than the $250 they want for their "Power filter kit".

Transmission traditionally hasn't been an issue, though the stock clutch eventually is. The 5MT and 4AT are basically the same as used in turbo models. Subaru specced a softer/lighter clutch for 2.5i because they designed for only 110whp.
