Hey guys,

Haven't been so active lately on the forums but I figured, I mention this and hopefully find a solution.

2 years ago, I went with the route of kyb gr2's paired with stock Sti springs to give a bit more stiffness and lower the car slightly. At first seemed great but after about 7000 miles the rear struts blew. Saved up and went with Megan street series coilovers. They work well but since having them installed always had a small clunk coming out of rear. That has progressively gotten worse.

I contacted Megan about it, they said to make sure the pillow ball is well greased and the spring preload is set correctly which it was. The problem I'm having is that the strut bar is grinding into the tophat which I recently found out is a impreza, wrx, Sti problem because of caster it was designed with.

I've tried multiple solutions, still no solution....I dont want to get rid of them because there not blown but don't want to deal with the clunk. I plan to get rid of the car in September to get my new car, but want to fix It without having to buy a whole new set. Well sorry to vent but very frustrated, thanks for listening all suggestions appreciated.

Pictures of strut included, soon as I get home

What do you mean the strut bar is grinding into the tophat?

Sorry, I didn't get to upload these earlier...but here are the pictures. Additionally, strut bar may not be the correct name; strut shaft?

.....that looks like an installation issue/error....not any kind of design error

What the hell?

Installation error for sure. I'm having a hard time figuring out how they managed that though...

It might be me, but those pics look like some one actually cut out the top chunks. The bottom cuts may have been cleaned up. Doesn't look like wear, it looks intentional. Maybe an attempt at extra camber? It pains me to see the things people do...

Prob b/c they were lazy to make it all fit correctly, or gave the job to some new kid who had no idea what he was doing.
