The guy disappeared. I guess he still wants his F-150 and $125 per fill up. haha

At least the car is clean inside and out.

Nothing wrong with owning a pick-up if it makes you money i.e. working in the trades. $80ish to fill up to be exact.

Oh, I know. When I don't have the WRX I drive my mom's Chevy Silverado. I wasn't knocking the guy for driving a pickup. I was knocking him for saying that he wanted something that got better gas mileage than his current pickup (he claimed $125 max to fill up), made plans to talk to me Saturday, then never responded to my attempts at contacting him.

It was just a jab at someone that isn't around to defend himself. I'm low like that. haha

32k mile bump!

Price should be down to $25.5k tomorrow, will keep you posted. If I can make another substantial payment on the 31st then hopefully it'll be at $25k at least, if not a couple hundred under that.

Just had a really nice conversation with my bank. I realize now I have options, so price is OBO.

Don't think the thought hadn't crossed my mind, especially since owning an STI agrees with my "all or nothing" mantra. However, the 2006 STI is the least desirable for me because unlike the 2007 STI, it doesn't even have the rear seat pass-through. Unlike the 2004 it doesn't share common WRX parts. Unlike the 2005, it doesn't look as... appealing because of the Fuji history-inspired grille. Otherwise it's a fine car indeed, good sir!

Even if you were serious, I would still have to ask why you'd want to trade down to a WRX? Unless you're just wanting something newer with less miles that has leather seats, Bluetooth, USB, eight cup holders, a sunroof and one less gear to row through? You won't get DCCD, LSD, bigger wheels, stiffer suspension or less noticed by the popo.

STi is race car, no need pass-through or cool grill only go fast. Initial comment was only posted to get the response you provided.

Can't argue with that one. haha What about the gearing? 2006 doesn't seem as refined as 2007 or raw as 2005. Truth?

I'm just saying, I could actually use a pass-through, and I actually fold my seats down a lot to fit stuff. That was my hugest complaint about my 2005. I don't have a significant other to save me when something doesn't fit.

Nah. I meant to bump this since I haven't heard back from the interested party member. I just made a payment on it, too, so price is coming down.

I'm in a rental while part of my car is being repainted. If my insurance okays a couple of claims then I'm hoping to have my car completely fixed up and brand new-looking soon.

Price drop: $25,300

Fixing it up more, and lowering the price. That doesn't seem quite right.

Haha Making it LOOK normal while lowering the price. High mileage changes things in people's minds, even if NADA says it's not THAT big a deal (-$400 to -$500 for 30k+ miles). You know what I'm talking about, you're picking up a 2011 with high mileage at a good price.

Updated CL post a little, or, cleaned it up really.

Just got checks cut from insurance to have the body damage repaired, so minus a few paint chips the car will look good. Ignore the hellatucked Legacy wheels.

If I decide to go completely back to stock I'm thinking of raising the price, but we'll see.

Yeah, I'm trying to see if I can swing $200 for paint-matched sport grille.

The other issue is the fog light surrounds. I need to look at the quote because if it includes the entire front clip then we're golden and he can order everything. I'm hoping the fog lights themselves can get repaired because they're both cracked and I don't want to spend $100 per bulb to replace them.

Now's as good as time as any, though, you're right!

UPDATE:

This guy will ONLY sell the fog lamps WITH the bumper reinforcement for $150... He sounded Russian, but whatever.
