Thumbs up Dirt, Gravel, Mud and Sand! Offroading adventures directory - w/ google maps links!

Dirt, Gravel, Mud and Sand! Offroading adventures directory - w/ google maps links!

hi guys! im a big fan of wild drifting, gravel stage and other adventurous driving in my Subaru. I've found tracks in the woods, blasted to 100+ mph on gravel, and loved every second.

one challenge we subaru gents have is finding off-road adventures that are off-highway, but not necesarily off-roading like Jeeps enjoy. We need a resource for loose surfaces where we can push our subaru's to rally like they were designed to do:
Wouldnt it be awesome to have info on locations where you can...
- have tons of fun drifting and rally sliding
- wont immediately break car or driver (popular nemesis: giant rocks)
- probably wont get thrown in jail

SO HERE GOES! Let's here your stories, brag your badass pics, and help other NASIOC-uskers locate these hidden driving areas.

Post the geographic information first, via a google maps link or other geo tag. Google earth links work best!

Tell us how your visit to the place went... is it free or is there a park entrance fee? did you break anything on your car? Was it mostly Jeeps, ATVs or dirtbikes? Did you take any pics or videos? would you go back?

thanks bros and chick bros. have fun- remember, drive slowly offroad to scout the terrain before you blast off on Subie Whoosh!

Here's one in indiana south if indianapolis. called Redbird state riding area. i give this place a B-. It is a repurposed abandoned mine land that the state converted into an offroad park -- mainly bc so many people were tresspassing to go offroad.

http://www.atvaonline.com/Riding/Whe...idingArea.aspx

entrance on Country Rd Highway 350, go north on northbound gravel track that starts near where railroad and road meet.

there is also an official entrance and parking lot--- but the trails that start there are very narrow.

No.

Go participate in a sanctioned event that has proper safety procedures in place before you hurt yourself or someone else.
