STi struts do not have proper damping to handle yellows, not to mention the issue of bump travel. I wouldn't go with any less than Tokico D-specs with that kind of spring rate and drop.

BC coils aren't necessarily overrated. They're great if you want to slam the car. For tracking and/or autocrossing, they are far from optimal.

They come with new bump stops to help with the problem of travel. And I agree. From what I hear, not over rated, and I would only really use them for street.

And Ryan... :P sir. Lol. I'll give u pics in a minute.

From what I've seen, BC makes a good quality coilover. I just wouldn't buy one for handling reasons.

Even with the new bump stops, the spring rate and height are too aggressive for STi struts. You can get away with using them, but I'd recommend D-specs.

I see what your saying Ross. A tech at IAG was telling me he had that exact set-up(yellows with the right struts(dont remember the name honestly)) and he said it was the best handling car he's drivin. But 2k+ for struts alone is just to much for me personally.

And Ross, when you gonna make it out to the meet? I'd love to see that Cobb again sometime

I'm gonna try to be there this weekend, but no promises. Love the Cobb exhaust, by the way. Quiet when I want it to be (which means its usually loud), and with the help of the 4" catless downpipe the turbo whistles loud as hell through it.

Well see how the weekend goes with them. Going to get the other three mounted up and ready for the fourth, anyone know reputable wheel shops? I'd like to not have these destroyed by machines.

On a side note, anyone have a manual boost
Controller that they want to trade for a prodrive 3 ports ebcs with plug adapter?
If so, hit me up 410-858-7273

Off topic, but I want to see if anyone else has gotten this yet.
Just pulled into the gas station, get out, and and man approaches me
Man: hey man, have you seen that movie "born to race"
Me: Yes, after I bought my car, but yes
Man: ya man, that movie really made me realize this car can go against a lot of big name cars. Is it really that fast?
Me: well kind of, she's not slow, thats for sure Sorry you had to learn this through the movie. I would have been more than happy to show you myself
I think it's awesome he had the interest. But I hate how this movie is what had to bring it out in people. Lol
Has anyone else had stuff happen to them like this?

I'm getting rid of my rce yellows to try and afford some coilovers to fit these wheels. Do you guys think it's worth it? I've already bought the springs. And it's become a real hassle trying 2 get these bc coils. IAG is hooking me up, but so many other things keep cutting into my funds( clutch, hospital, etc...) I could try to sell the wheels bc I got them at a pretty good price. I've really been considering selling wheels, buying 245/40/17's, and just putting on my springs already. I'm really at a loss.... Any thoughts are appreciated!
*edit: I should add that I do like the way these wheels look when installed. Noone else around here has the same set-up which I'm finding harder and harder to do.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my coil overs and going back to stock suspension. I'm thinking about doing springs with sti struts.
