FYI for ebay uel's, I forgot which person I bought mine from, most of them tend to need a little wrangling to get them on, I had to use some muscle to get mine over the studs, but once on, all is well.

2 years later, give or take, no problems yet with cracked welds or major rust. They have held up quite well considering how bad the winters have been this year and last year.

So can anyone directly point out which vendor and which header specific to buy for a 2007 Impreza 2.5i? I know about the track pipe, probably get that from BoxerRacing but just the header itself.

The person I got mine from speedyracer, I don't think he sells on ebay anymore or his name is different.

here is a link to a place some ppl get theirs from but he is kinda more expensive.

^^ It was just an example, they are probably come from the same manufacturer in china somewhere.

Get what you can afford, it's that simple

No need to overthink the UEL thing, just get on, get your setup done, and enjoy some burble.

Trust me after having UEL's for just about 2 years with just about every catback setup you can think of, you get used to it and over time, it looses it's excitement. Maybe I'm just becoming and old fart compared to you youngsters. After long days at work, the burble can sometimes be quite annoying.

Oh, since I am on a rant tonight, no matter what us NA ppl do, with the best setup imaginable, we will never truly sound like a wrx or sti, plain and simple, you can come close but it's not the real thing. The turbo just adds a sexy slippage to the pulses that we can't reproduce.

i dunno, ported heads, itbs with EL headers sounds like sex on wheels to me.Far from any of the boxer turbo sounds. but then again im a rotary owner, im partial to the sounds of a car that can mimic Formula1.

My Borla header have never had a problem been installed on my car for at least three years. They bolted right up, sound great and were not too bad price wise. I ordered both the borla header and stromburg high flow cat from boxer4racing.com, and both installed easy and with the correct fitment.

That's the way it always is with the REAL product from an A1 vendor. I am flabergasted anyone would go another route to cheap out and deal with all the headaches and shoddy quality!

My Borla/Stromung combo has performed flawlessly for over 5 years and 75K miles. And it all bolted up perfectly in less then an hour!

Hate to bump this up from the dead, but all the vendors listed are either gone or have no products currently selling. Anyone have any updated Ebay vendors for reps? I found this, CLICK ME which seems to be a good offer. I was going to get Borla's again but three of my friends are running on reps with their N/A's and have had no issues for a couple years now (the vendor they got there's for is not on Ebay anymore), so I thought I would save the money :P

I still vote OBX EL headers, had mine for about 5 years with only one issue. The mounting tab on the header that bolts to the tranny keeps breaking....

Besides that, the fitment is a little tight, have to use a little muscle the first time, but when I took it off last it went back on WAY easier than the first time right out of the box.

But as stated, buy what you can afford. If you want expensive headers, return your bottles and cans instead of recycling them.

TWE headers. They're what the OBX wish they were. Perfect fitment, perfect quality, way, way more power.
