For future reference, in Windows 7 you can use "snipping tool" to quickly take a screenshot of a window or arbitrary area. In OS X, command-shift-4 will let you select an area, or cmd-shift-4 and then spacebar to select an entire window. The image will be saved to the desktop.

Subarupartswarehouse just confirmed that they shipped my part, however it shows on their confirmation that I was given only the one coupon. When I log into my account and view my order it shows that I got both coupon. The charge hasn't hit my CC account yet. I hope they charged the original price since I didn't consent to a price change.

As for aftermarket oil filters, I've been running the Mobil1 M1-104 with good results.
I'm not especially loyal to M1. I just got an oil+filter deal at a good price. Factory fill sample is in the mail and I plan to get the M1 0W20 analyzed as well. I believe many are seeing high Fe counts (across many engines) with M1, and there's endless debate about this on various forums. Nobody seems to know why. Plan A was a PureOne filter and Pennzoil Platinum, but I had to make do with what was on the shelf. |

BTW, thanks for the link. I just got done ordering a three pack. They're shipping from the state I live in, so hopefully I'll have them by this Friday when I plan to do my first oil change. Last edited by jr0bb5; 06-05-2012 at 10:42 PM. |

You just gotta make sure that the filter has the correct check valve that the Subaru filters have.

M1, Bosch and PureOne have anti drainback valves. Unless OEM fanatics know why a particular filter is unsuitable, ignore them.

The OEM filters weren't too bad price-wise. They are about 7 bux at my dealer.

i think i paid 19.00 after tax for 2 filters, and 2 crush washers at the dealer. didn't seem too bad. I am probably going to go the fumoto valve route though, so only need 1 washer.

Also, if it was "super easy" to remove the housing can you do a picture or video of how it looks like. Therefore I can see where the clips are held. You can be the first person to document this. Wouldn't that be totally Awesome?? =P Last edited by imcausinmadrukis; 06-06-2012 at 03:04 AM. |

To remove the fog lamp housing I pushed the clips that hold it in place from the back side. (No tools needed for that ) It should come out very easily.Good Luck, |

I didn't have to remove any clips, they came off by just a little pry (the blackberry tool I used was a tiny plastic piece used to pry housing apart) to get my fingers around them & a little pull. I don't have pix, but search for a post on here from HinGurl... it was a while ago but she put pix up.
Edit: maybe it wasn't her but I found this. Quote:

Thats a good price for a tint. And that place is about 4 blocks from my house. Jay's did our Accord a number of years ago and it held up very well. What all did you get tinted for $250? All but windshield? |

I'll give this a try. I did look under this morning and seen the two plastic clips but no 10mm bolt. I have the Sport Premium. There is an extra hole on both sides with no bolt. Maybe on the Sport Prem no bolt? Ill try to take a pic when I get a chance. |

Sure, I just find snipping tool more convenient. Launch it, drag a box, click save, done. Don't have to deal with cropping it later or remembering what key to hold to make it take a window instead of the entire screen.

Snipping tool is awesome, saves you a bunch of trouble with cropping screenshot images. You can also do a ALT + Printscreen to capture the window with focus.
