Default Oops. Toyota Recalls the FR-S

Details at http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls...h&summary=true.

Apparently, the Owner's Manual doesn't describe the airbag system properly. It's interesting that the recall involves 1156 cars, which is significantly more than the BRZs that Subaru has sold so far.

The first BRZ's were shipped with a poorly translated Manual in certain areas within it. There is a digital copy of the Owner's Manual you can download and it has the same grammar issues in it.

So Subaru is issuing new Manuals to the owners that already have their BRZ's.

The NHTSB has also forced Subaru to recall the BRZ's for this same issue...although most have already had their manuals replaced.

Recalls would be based on production, not sales. Scion only sold 86 FR-S in May (the First 86) so the rest are unsold.

BRZ manuals have been recalled: last page (quick reference) states fuel requirement of 87 when it should be 91.

hahaha really? As a Graphic Designer it is over stressed into my brain on how important it is to check it over and over and over, proof read as many times as possible.
