The Cobb OTS map for a stock WRX is a nice boost to start with but add the intake, down pipe and exhaust, and the car really wakes up. You can get the car Pro Tuned from there and some tuners can get an extra couple HP over Cobbs map depending on your location.

I thought my OTS Stage 2 Map was fine for daily use. I would have kept it but I needed it tuned because of the injectors, plugs and boost controller.

No problem! My girlfriend is riding in the Trek Across Maine for Lung cancer, I believe it ends in Belfast - no idea where that is to be honest.

I would the best start to a nice ride for the summer would be a Stock Stage 1 Map from COBB. Gather your parts over the next season or so and do Stage 2+ when you get them all. If you have some extra money you can always get EFI to ProTune the Stage 2+ and come out with a really nice smooth map that has the parts you put on working together for the best our put.

For now, don't worry about any tuning. Just get the AP and plug in a stock stage 1 map and have an awesome summer!!

Nice! What psi?

I recently got a protune from Hill at Agile Auto. Ended up with 315whp/342wtq @ 20.5psi on Sunoco 93. I wasn't too concerned with numbers but it'd be cool to compare the dyno charts. The car feels great and is really fun to drive.

My mods..
Cobb AP
Invidia catted downpipe
Q300 cbe
AEM intake
Process west tmic
Forge bpv
Grimmspeed ebcs

Wow, we're like twins!
I was just under 22psi on that pull but it's amazing the difference from Dyno to Dyno. Same car, same mods 20+ HP difference.

That fits just about right for a Dynopack though. They give out readings that are 10-15% higher then a mustang and very similar to a dynojet. I'll get the chart up soon. Do you have yours?

I honestly didn't expect the numbers to be that high after seeing another wrx make 296whp/327wtq at Agile a few months ago. Only difference was a Cobb tbe and intake instead. I've heard the AEM intake makes a few more hp but nothing you would notice driving the car.

Hill said every car is a bit different and he's had the best luck with Sunoco fuel so told me to stick with that. I also got tuned on pretty much the perfect day, barely 70 degree's, no humidity.

I need to have them email me the graph but in the meantime I took a pic of the paper graph. I'll just PM you with it.

It's catted, I'll be moving back to New York in the future so in Westchester county they'll be checking for a cat during inspection.
I'm not sure of the difference in power though. I've heard it's pretty minimal but I may be totally wrong...

I honestly think the stock injectors will produce the same power. If I run E85 I'll use them to their potential but for stage 2+ I've seen the exact numbers with just the Turbo back invidia, intake, EBCS and process west intercooler with a good tune.
If I would do it again, that would be my choice for power up to 300HP. Then if I decide to go big, it would be to do everything from a bottom end, turbo, injectors, header, EWG, uppipe, etc...

The boost flutter is something that EFI was aware of but didn't make a big deal about it. It flutters but my map curve is smooth so it might sound weird but I guess it doesn't effect power too much or i'm sure they would get rid of it.
I do know if you show up to EFI with an MBC and EBCS like I did the will laugh you off the dyno. Chris was so frustrated with the hype of the hybrid setup so I pulled my car off with my tail between my legs and removed it.

In terms of all manual or electronic?
I'd still go electronic for my purpose. I switch back and fourth between 91 and 93 octane because of where I live in Maine but I had two maps made at EFI and one is 19.5psi and the other is 22 so every time I changed maps, I would have to go out and mess with the MBC to get the right PSI. I'm sure once I figured out how many clicks it was, it'll be easy but I didn't want to not click enough and find out the hard way during a hard pull and run the wrong psi on the wrong fuel. So easy electronic with flutter for me
