Default Brz speakers/sat radio question

There are 4 dash mounted speakers (look like a 5 1/4" or 4" and a 3/4" or 1" tweeter), and then some large 6 1/2" or 8" door speakers. I'm sure there's something in the rear, as well, but I haven't snooped around in mine yet.

I really want to know what speakers are in there before I get to the install place so I can figure out which Focal components I'm going to put in it. Anyone have any ideas or has the info been posted anywhere?

I am also very interested in finding out if the sat radio is built in to the deck or is an external module (that would work with an aftermarket deck).

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I am guessing that the car is wired for Sat radio, so hooking up another Sat radio deck shouldn't be an issue. Although, I don't know for sure.

Default Problem downloading contacts from Galaxy IIs

Picked my Limited WRB up last Sat and neither the sales rep nor I were able to download my contacts from my Samsung Galaxy S2 Sprint phone. All other functions seem to work including speakers phone and answering/placing calls, I even tried shutting down my antivirus software and all other non essential programs after cold booting the phone, but no dice. It took longer to echo a communications failure error message after shutting down the apps but the progress bar never moved and the results were the same, no contacts were transferred.

Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks,

Joe

BTW ... 575 smiles on the ODO, 28.5 mpg @ <5800 RPM, mostly <4k RPM until today when at about 500 smiles my rearview filled with the grill of a Genesis R Coupe heading west on 67 in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut and it became necessary to no longer 'drive nicely' per the Owner’s manual ... I led him deep into the 1st left hander of the deadly chicane just east of Bridgewater with a light tap on the brakes, then planted it through turn 1, eased off a bit after turn 2 and then punched it out of the hard left exit. The tires barely squealed and after I hit the straightaway and took a look in the mirror…. No more grill, as Genny was dazed and confused and at least 10 car lengths behind me gaining fast and pissed . Too bad all the roads aren’t straight… for him

OP, The external sat radio components are most likely just an antenna. That's how it was in '08 at least. The head unit in your BRZ is a version of the Pioneer AVIC, so it's probably done the same way as the rest of that lineup.

iwantmybrz, is there a setting in Android to turn contact syncing/uploading on and off? Unfortunately my bluetooth headunit experience is between iOS and Kenwood, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will have an answer for you.

My Galaxy Nexus (rooted, running 4.0.2) downloaded everything fine.

Maybe it'll work once Sprint rolls out ICS for the S2... if you don't want to wait, you could root and install it yourself.

It's not the pioneer. It's the fujitsu ten unit found in the current MY Forester and Impreza.

You might want to search for an update. Verizon just pushed out 4.0.4 earlier this week for the Nexus. I got it Tuesday morning.
