I wanted to take a minute and post my thoughts, and get some feedback from my local tuner....

I bought my first WRX in november, purchased it used from a dealer, 2002 bugeye. One owner, It has 145k on it, runs good.

Since i purchased it, i removed the manual boost control and installed the stock solenoid, replaced both O2 sensors, removed/plugged EGT bung w/ transducer in harness, installed cobb AP v1 w/ 93 OTS map, replaced vacuum lines with OEM parts + restrictor pill, and replaced a torn, stock turbo inlet with a perrin.

The original owner has an Invidia 3" TB exhaust installed, catless up-pipe, invidia downpipe, HKS intake w/ maf, turbo timer, BOV, and some exterior mods as well, suspension, wheels, Diff guards ect.

I want to get more out of the motor, but with its mileage, i don't want to sacrifice the longevity. I plan on putting an additional 40k on the motor the next 2 years. Not sure what i can do to increase performance, AND extend the life of the vehicle.

I was thinking a snow performance meth/water injection kit, cobb AP v2, perrin electronic boost control, and have jorge tune the vehicle, keeping the meth progressive but strive for power & torque. Is that the best of both worlds? Getting more out of the motor while increasing longevity, or no?

In addition, i want to upgrade my pillar gauges. There are 3 different gauge styles currently installed, i want to keep the best looking one (autometer phantom vac/boost gauge) and get matching oil pressure gauge, and EGT gauge. Autometer sells colored replacement bulbs, so i plan to change the gauges to green so it matches the stock dash.

With that said, if you think i should leave it alone, cool. If you think my ideas are a good option, or you recommend a bigger turbo, FMIC and all, just let me know. I want to get the most out of this vehicle!

I appreciate your help!

Arggh! I wrote a lengthy PM reply on the 25th, but it's not showing in our sent folder... I either screwed up or maybe it disappeared last week when there were issues on NASIOC. Either way, I apologize. Are you free to give me a buzz at the shop to chat some time? I'd like to talk on the phone for a few if you're available to discuss your set up. Otherwise, I'll be happy to shoot you a PM also!

Regards,

Rick

A message for everyone:
So... We set up new email software around the first of the year, and realized this morning that a junk folder had been established that we weren't aware of... So needless to say, if anyone has attempted to reach us here via email since early in the year and hasn't received a reply, our sincerest apologies. It seems that 95% of emails have been coming through, but there are quite a few that were filtered, and I'll be working on going through them today. Thanks. -Rick

You should every one there helps you to there full extent. Rick and Drew have guided me towrd my goals and huge props to Drew for always knowing my name and car when I come in he always asks about my current progress. Little things like that make this big name shop make me want to come back and dump lots of money in my car. You will be in for a shock if they have joys car in the show room, just perfect. just my $.02.

^Most deffinitely a great crew there and drew does know his customers well. Just stopped by there 2 weeks ago for some mudflaps and a navi installation. Great work as usual and its funny you brought up joy's car. Drew took me in the back to see it up close since I hadn't yet. That car was sick as hell! Wish i had the money for them to do something like that with my car. I also saw her yesterday or someone else driving it over in the white marsh/perry hall area pulling out of a shell. Yet to see a suby so nice on the road in person.
