Default JVC KW-AV70BT Question

So, I ordered the JVC AV70BT. My local shop is going to instal it because the last time I did electrical on a car it was a 66 Mustang my Dad and I were rebuilding and when we took it out for a drive the wiring caught on fire.

I digress. What I'm trying to decide is if I should get the JVC KS-U30 ipod conection cable or just use a standard USB. I know the KS-U30 lets you play video from your ipod but I really dont care about that. However, if it gives you a better audio experience like easier searching throuigh songs or displays album art then I might consider it.

Does anyone have this unit or one of the simillar JVC units? Do you use the KS-U30?

My GF had the KW-AV60 which is the same thing, smaller screen, not BT...

The cable and the interface kinda sucked honestly, was stupid and clunky, hit the wrong button and you had 6 screens to navigate through to get back.. She hated it, sold the HU in less than 2 weeks (well, made me sell it)

I'm looking to off my KW-AV70bt as well, just not what I was after... I did/do like the BT streaming, that was cool, I just don't think it will offer "me" enough sound shaping (eq/crossover) for me to be happy..

Can't speak for the ipod connector, but I have the AV60BT. I have no qualms with it other than the slow ipod song scrolling. Maybe that connector would speed it up

I have the JVC KW-NT3HDT ad returned the officail ipod cable because the only difference is the ability to watch video.. otherwise it is the same..

save yourself some money since you said you dont care about video and get a ipod usb ***DATA*** cable to use with it. Make sure you dont get a charging cable as those do not have all the wire connections to transfer data to the HU.

I'm currently looking into this unit as well (kw-av70bt) and this is one of the things that is holding me back right now. What other unit would you suggest for around the same quality?

Pioneer 2200/2300/2400/3400/8400...

I personally dumped the DD idea and went back single DIN with a Pio 80PRS
