Thanks! I bought one cheap, $15 and you just use the plug on the trunk and run it up beneath the rear cover thing. Looks wicked at night. Way brighter and comes on faster. I'm looking into getting mustang leds for my tail lights too

Aight guys, here's my first "custom" (eh, sorta) modification. I was fed up with the one cig outlet provided (I need to run my phone charger, fuzz buster, and gps), and I had no use for the ashtray thingy, so I spent 2 hours sanding away at the piece on my counter. This is what resulted from that. Sorry it's not the coolest thing ever created by man..

But I like it.

And yes, it still closes.

Thanks man! It's super easy if you have a dremel tool. I, however, am not so fortunate. I just had rough metal sticks that I violently rubbed back and forth for hours. But determination is key. I'll put up pic of what's under the trim tomorrow. It's hilarious. I just plugged the current cig lighters into the original, cut a hole in a sock, and zip-tied the sock around the piece. Ghetto lyfe 4ever.

Awesome. When I pick up the extra coin for this I'm definite doing it. Does it get blindingly bright in your rear view mirror at night?

^ hm. I feel as thought the rear strut bar and subwoofer make that bed slightly less effective.. that said: I like it. Just try not to wear out your rear suspension.

I used mine, they look decent. I took the xxr logo piece, wrapped it in black vinyl, then put them on the wheels. I asked my buddy that works in a vinyl shop to make me something creative for an "emblem"....he handed me a roll of little sti stickers. They look way better than chrome xxr logos though.

That's very interesting! Can I ask what your motivation was for doing this? Does the rear seat still fold back up, or is this a permanent install?
