That was an old quote you pulled up there. It is 3.40 now, better than before but not super cheap.
It is time to fill up again, I just got 20 mpg. This new motor and super short jdm six speed doesn't help the mpg. I am also in the process of finishing the tune so I should see a little better mpg.

I'm sitting at IAG right now, getting a new clutch and flywheel installed.
Oh, and while it's here, getting the oil changed and everything checked out so that it's ready for the cross country trip at the beginning of July. ![]() |

Your car, but I don't see the point. 10-15 more whp but then slap a fmic and you've erased your gains with lag.

But lag can't be tuned out to a point so no worries there And also the gains arnt just horsepower its the reliablity of cold air at all time...(co2/water sprayer on the front of the IC possibly ![]() Plus I've got everything exhaust and IC wise wrapped or coated... My exhaust isn't gunna be huge #'s but it'll be 1 of the most efficient 2.0L's you've ever seen This setup has been thought about and talked about by me to many reputable people with the same answer each time from them |

On a Subaru no I haven't because the top mount has been efficient on both Subaru's I've had now, but on 2 different DSM's I did... it depends more on core size and amount of boost more than anything, I respect anything anyone wants to do to THEIR car which is why I started the sentence that way... on a 16G I don't really see the point personally other than aesthetics though... My actual main reason I'd never be interested in a FMIC is 90% of the FMIC setups I have seen for this car is the impact bar has to be removed or compromised by hacking it up to get it to mount on the front of the car (and the loss of the fog lights).

while my turboxs fmic did compromise the crash bar, it still lets me keep my fogs. even the JDM's and my custom PIAA's.

I'll put it this way: unless you're using a TD04 and an APS 725, the difference in spool characteristics between a top mount and a front mount are negligible. The crash bar is really only an issue if you regularly drive like an idiot. Also, as Uncle Tattoo said, a lot of front mount kits these days allow you to retain fog lights.
