Hey Sam do you have the GoPro or the new Hero 2. Im thinking about buying the case that holds two GoPros together to be able to record in 3D. But it requires the newest model which is the Hero 2 and I can't justify spending 300 bucks on another GoPro.

Unfortunately I have the hero 1. It's still 1080p but I don't think it does the 3D.

You don't need the hero 2 to record in 3d...just the mount.

Ryan, Jason said it should work. Let's try it. It would be sweet for a corner on the meadows!

Me and Erik are hitting the strip tonight at 42. You should meet us there and at least chill. I don't think I have anything going on tomorrow so ill text you when I know I can make it.

Anyone else trying to make it to 42? We should be there around 7:00-7:30 latest, heading out around 6:00 from my spot and meeting at Erik's on the way...PM me if you want to meet up.

I'm on the left and Kevin's EvoX is on the right. His best time was 12.93 before this run. It was between 75 and 80 degrees there.

So my failed passes at the strip gave me the kick in the ass I needed to get my Samco tmic hose kit on. I am fairly confident I had another boost leak since the car feels much stronger now. I also painted my tmic and BPV black to cover up the tarnishing aluminum. It needs a little touchup since Kevin and I scratched it a little bit trying to put it back in. I could not get the BPV hose swapped because the spring clamp is rotated so the tabs are facing the block. Idk how I would even go about getting at them.

Think this was the source of my boost leak? The inside of the elbow is all black, I'm thinking from oil blowby. There was not as much oil in the tmic as I was expecting, but there was some. The worm clamp had shredded silicone in the notches of the clamp and you can see where it was chewed up.

The black looks good Erik, since you didn't do the fins it didn't matter if you used heat dispersing paint, right? I'd eventually like to do mine entirely black and restencil the STi on it

Correct, it shouldn't matter too much. I'm pretty sure the pressurized air would be hotter than the bay anyways, but the paint will give the tmic a boundary layer from the turbo heat soak. You are right that the fin area is the most important part. I also painted the hard Y pipe so I have a little heat barrier there too. The way I see it is that if people have good success with the gold heat wrap, the paint shouldn't hurt at all either.

I might go back later on and just repaint the top section like this:

I think the big stencil looks really nice as well.

ok ok. So my brother in law decides to buy a jeep to offroad with. My sister really wanted to drive it home, and i went with her in the passenger seat. On the way down 76 we are doing about 50 in the left lane and the jeep started to shutter, it swerved slightly left and my sister corrects and we hit a ladys trailer and then the jeep rolls. It rolls a little more than 3 times. Thankfully me and my sister both walked out with just a few bumps and scratches.

Well that blows. Was the shuddering death wobble? Were you able to figure out what caused it?

I think the shuddering was death wobble. havent had much time to check to out yet to see what the issue may have been. it may be hard to tell what wasnt damaged by the wreck.

Yeah, it's good that the cage held up as well as it did, but as you can see from the pictures you took, the front bars connected to the windshield buckled a bit and started to decrease headroom. It's crashes like yours that make me want to get a front cage setup. Who know what could have happened if you guys were going a bit faster, and if the jeep had rolled a couple more times.

And that's true, the front suspension might have gotten jacked up from the crash, so it might be hard to tell.
