Yes, 50 Beowulf is a heavy AR round used primarily for big game hunting and some heavy tactical situations, much like 458 SOCOM. It's really only accurate out to 300 yards, and I use the term "accurate" lightly, as it's as accurate as a big heavy assault rifle round can be. But damn is it fun to shoot, mostly just for the "what the **** does that guy have?" reactions you get at the range.

There are guys that have made custom 50 Beowulf bolt action rifles. But I wouldn't put the money into that. I'd just go with a 416 Ruger or something in that vein.

I initially read that as .50 BMG and was wondering wtf you were talking about.

Is that Unertl scope brand new in that wooden box? Price?

Those two Redding presses are good, solid units. I use the most recent version for my reloads. Were there any Redding .308 or 30-40 dies in there? I could see some Lyman, Lee, and RCBS. I already have Redding dies and their parts are interchangeable (decapping rod, etc.). However I did see some L.E. Wilson boxes, what calibers are those? Might also be interested in the neck trimmer.

Does anyone have experience/comments on the S&W E Series 1911sc? I've been doing research on these and can't really find anything negative about them. Any help would be appreciated.

Nope I was actually looking at one last weekend at the gunshow in fw, I ended up getting a kimber 1911. This one had a 4 inch barrel rather than 5 and feels twice as smooth( IMHO) I'm interested to hear/see some feedback on this pistol.

There are a couple of different models of their E Series. The SC has a 4.25 inch barrel. I might be trading a gun or two for this and was hoping someone here had some experience. Thanks for your input! If I do pick this up I will let you know what I think about it.

Looking forward to hearing something. I bought an xdm a few months back, it's a 9 mm but its a great/ fun gun to shoot. Can't beat the price of the Springfield but I have really lost interest in glock's which was the original reason why I went to the gun show. Dammit those AR's are calling my name, I want one but gotta get this engine up n running before I pull the trigger!

What a bastard!! I'll be stopping by the gun range prob either Wednesday or Thursday, I'll see if they have one I can shoot and try to offer something on it.. I've heard nothing but good things about it, just don't personally know anyone who has one.

I'm hoping to make it to the range in Mesquite this weekend sometime if anyone else is up for it. I would head out to the long range in Leonard but I've just put together a load development for 190gr and need to do some ladders. New gun is supposed to be here this week but it won't have optics or anything else on it for a while yet.

Anyone in the DFW area have an allen wrench capable of removing the stock hand grip on a S&W M&P 15A? I have a magpul one I want to replace it with but none of my allen wrenches are long enough.

I do. But I'm in Plano, so I don't know if you get this way that much. Go to a smaller hardware store. They usually have long Allen wrenches for sale singularly. I bought a 25mm one at Elliot's that is almost a foot long.

My b-day today and I picked up my b-day present from James yesterday:

Placed a Midway order last night for optics and new bottom metal for it. We'll see if the smiths can figure it out. I have much bigger plans for this rifle though

Black one is an STI Trojan in .45, white one is a hard chromed STI Trojan in 9mm. Love my Texas built 1911s.

I would head out to the long range in Leonard but I've just put together a load development for 190gr and need to do some ladders. New gun is supposed to be here this week but it won't have optics or anything else on it for a while yet.
