About 7-10min. Away. By far best hotel option in the area. This may be old info but if you get a preferred player card in the casino (free) before you check in they give you a discount on the room. Double check before you go through with that by calling front desk. I did this about 4 years ago and it saved my $20 a night.

Here is a link for those who want to get track day insurance. I can tell you that a lot of insurance companies will not cover your car if they find out something happen on the track.

I think there are still rooms left at our group discount at $70.

Anybody with a Subaru is encouraged to stop by if you can't spend the day, you can spectate and see the action first hand. We are also opening this up to a limited number of non-Subarus if anybody is interested.

The track day insurance is a great idea, may get coverage for my car.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but registration for the driving school and the track day is only available online, we will not have registration at the track. Registration will be open until Thursday

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
We are going to offer "Experience the Ridge" this will be for those that can't make the full day event. You show up at 12:00, pay $20 in CASH (we can't take checks or plastic) and while the registered folks are eating lunch we will take 3 brisk, paced laps around the Ridge Motorpsorts Track. No pre-registration or helmets required.

Let me know if you have questions-thanks, Mark

I believe it's scheduled for 7pm but I will confirm that.

Also, if possible we would like a rough head count for the reception so we can plan for the food, so for any of you that are coming please check in here or shoot me a quick PM-THANKS!

I am heading down from Seattle in the AM. I was planning on allowing 2 hours for travel and leaving at about 5:15 or 5:30 in the AM as I am unsure what I5 south is going to look like around Tacoma and Olympia. Anywhere I should avoid, or will I-5 to 101 be my best route?

I highly recommend you take the route through Purdy on the way there

So you're suggesting Bremerton ferry to HWY 3 or are you suggesting I5 to HWY 16 across the narrows bridge?

Or are you just tying to get me nominated for a Ban poll?

I-5 to 101 is a little farther but also a little quicker. That time of day traffic should not be an issue. 2 hours should be plenty of time.

UPDATES:

Registration is open until tomorrow evening, if somebody needs special arrangements, contact me and I will see what I can do.

The reception tomorrow starts at 7pm at Little Creek Casino, Skookum Spirit Lounge. It is towards the back by the hotel on the second floor by the meeting rooms. Anybody staying or anybody willing to drive there is welcome to join us, so you Olympia/Tacoma/whatever folks come on down. Please let me know if you are coming for head count purposes-thanks.

The lapping at lunch will start promtly at 12:30, due to time constraints it will be 3 laps and will cost $20. As a reminder this is a parade lap, brisk but not wide open. Please be there by 12:00 to sign up, pay up and line up!

If anybody has questions please let me know, I will check this often.

Just got my STI prepped, ready and loaded!

Cheers

I had a blast today at The Ridge. We had a lot of track time. Well worth the money. Thanks to Mark and Matt for planning this. Thanks to the Ridge Motorsports School - I had a great instruction from Ryan H.

Looking forward to more lapping days here this summer as much as my budget/schedule allows.

Echoing what everyone else has said, what an awesome track. I gotta say my favorite part has to be the 8a to 8b and going flat out around 9 up the hill to blind turn in at 10. So much grip!!

I'll post my last run session video this afternoon and if II can overlay data I will, looks like my kiwi wifi didn't synch up properly for that run .

Huh? For me, there is nothing too exciting about that first corner. There are other turns that has more drama

That looks like quite a varied and challenging course. I gotta track at PR first but this will definitely be next.

It was nice meeting a few of you out there! I was in the black 2006 STi, #41 in Group B. I look forward to meeting more of you as time goes on, and to being a vendor on here shortly!

Did you happen to get loose in turn 2 to 3 on the second or third session?

I think I saw you get a little out of shape there and then I immediately got squirmy heading into turn 5...
