Default Looking for 04-07 wrx

New to nasioc. Wondering if anyone or knows anyone has a Wrx preferably 04-07 for sale or an Evo or Lgt. My limit is around 18,000 Thanks!

That's actually a really good ceiling for getting an STI with decent miles, but doesn't have to be THAT high.

Having been a previous STI-owner (2005) and current WRX-owner, I'd have to vote for the 2005 STi, especially compared to a 2004-2007 WRX.

True, but I'm 18 and insurance would rape me

Are you sure? Insurance for my 2011 WRX was only a couple of dollars less per month compared to a 2011 STI sedan.

Ask your current insurance agent for a quote of both using your current policy outline. You might be surprised.

Get a quote for both. STi's were cheaper to insure at one time compared to WRX's.

Find an RS and do a turbo motor swap. Your insurance would be cheap.

If this is true, then the accident statistics must be getting a lot better on STI's. Years ago when I bought my new 04 wrx, I had planned to get an STI but it would have been over $100/month more for insurance. And I'm a middle-aged guy with a perfect driving record.

I got my 05 STI from Yakima, WA. Shipped.

I got my 08 Forester Sports XT from Park City, Utah. Drove it up.

You might have to roadtrip/ship for a good deal, sir.

That Sti has a newer short block in it. Sounds pretty good to me!

Both a WRX or an STi will have high insurance.

STi probably isn't a good first car. WRX would be better and just work your way up from there.
