but I'm almost sure the coatings are done to the lens before final assembly so replicating may be futile.

Yellow chrome housing, fully clear lense with blue sheen, very likely ion yellow bulb based on the light output (like piaa or narva). I've heard that the blue is some process done to the lense while they make it.

I don't wanna damage the blue part so I wonder if it's on the inside (which that would make sense) or the outside which would be stupid as hell.

I think the glass is blueish itself not like an overlay.
