Found a great detail supply store

Hey guy's i found this detail supply store in Westminster called Clie Car Care.They got all sorts of top name brand product's like Einszett,Sonax,Menzerna,P21s,Autoglym,ETC. I bought this wheel cleaner called sonax, Worked unreal you spray it on the wheels, let it sit for about 3-5 min it turns red,then all you do is spray it off with water and the wheels look new again.Crazy how good sonax works it's from germany.Try this stuff has great reveiws.http://cliecarcare.com/

Wow great site exactly what ive been looking for, anyone wanna recommend some cost effective products for rims, sealent and wax for a obsidian black 06 sti also something good to dry with ive been using beach towel and its scratching the **** out my paint. There is so many choices and brands id have no idea what to start with. Right now I just get meguires stuff from walmart.

since you're using a beach towel for drying i'm going to guess you don't have great stuff for washing either. You might want to get some a nice microfiber wash mitt, two buckets for washing (look up two bucket method) some grit guards, car wash soap of your choice. Also get a nice waffle weave towel for drying, very absorbent and safe.

Clay bar (I use mother's)
Paint polish - i'm using einszett polish wax
Wax - P21s, its a great canuba wax.

Ya i just really slack on the drying part. My normal procedures are wash with meguires car wash rinsing whole car in between sections. Dry with crappy beach towel. Then use meguires cleaner wax by hand. Then use buffer and lay down the nxt tech wax and then finishing with meguires quik detailer. Car looks great when im done. I just know there is room for improvements so I will try clay bar next time i really just need good drying technique and a polish that will last more than two washes.

Also im trying to get my hks axle back looking better the tip gets drilled with rocks on one side and the rest is just dull and faded so looking for a good crome detailer that will be agressive enough to smooth out the rock dings cuz im to scared to start sanding and not get it back or rub to much off

I went into the shop today, the owner and other guy working there were very polite and answered any questions. There was a huge selection of Einszett, Menzerna, and Meguiars "professional grade" products at very competitive prices.

I have 3 years xp detailing for Toyota and let me tell you if you want to wash your car the correct way, use a boar's hair brush ($80), soapy water in bucket and pressure washer. To dry, use a clean silicone blade ($15) and then use a soft towel (not microfiber) to dry spots.

If you don't know how to buff professionally then just give it a good hand wax in shaded area one panel at a time.

Also, clay bar is for safely removing raised material off your car like overspray or light tar spots, not necessary to clay your entire car, no benefit from that.

Ya ive been waxing my cars for while now and my dad had a professional buffer that was like 200 bucks, but i dont have money for a nice one yet so im useing a cheap turtle wax buffer with no speed setting is it ok to use professional grade products with my cheapo buffer of will i just do more harm than good? When i hand wax it leaves some marks from the wax also

....spend a few years discussing various detailing topics with professional detailers, experts in the industry and long-time enthusiasts and you'll see there is usually more than one effective tool, product and/or technique to tackle these types of tasks.

For example, I like BRB's myself but I don't believe they are not for everyone. In fact, I see more people using them improperly than I see them using them correctly. ....which is probably why I usually see people knock them and claim they do more harm than good. The only reason I don't use them myself for an entire vehicle is due to the care and time it takes to ensure I don't use too much pressure on the bristles, etc. ....that and the fact that I usually find that they don't always get all of the grime off in the first pass or two (I usually find the need to go back over those areas with one of my other media like a lambswool mitt).

Curious, but why do you say not to use microfiber to dry? Personally, I would much rather use a good quality MF waffle-weave towel to dry than a silicone blade. ....but that's just me. In the end, I know most dealerships don't detail cars the same as I would so there is going to be a difference in opinion/preference in that respect.

There could be several reasons the "wax" you're using could be leaving streaks/residue. ....the product itself could be to blame, the amount of product you're using (applying too heavily), the surface is too hot, high humidity, residue from another product, contamination, etc.

Personally, I have used a couple of those cheap orbitals back in the day and was never impressed with their performance. I would take Ncreamer's advice and just find a cool, shady spot to wax the car by hand. However, I would advise that you first do a small section of a panel to test your product(s) and techniques before committing to the entire vehicle. You'll save a lot of time and frustration this way. Get your process down first and then proceed.

Ya in gonna say heat has something to do with it i have no shade threw the day and tgen car being black creates alot of heat.

I look for professional websites because it shows a company that cares about every aspect of their business.

Enough being a geek. Good products and good prices from what I was able to determine. If the shop was close to me I'd definitely check it out.

Just recently stopped by with a buddy to pick up a few things, ended up leaving with alot more knowledge a new detail spray/tried that sonax stuff (smelled like ass but it got 14,000 miles of brake dust off) i am very pleased and will return!

We get vendors on here from time to time who try to sell their services/products without registering first. The vendor status below a persons/business name is supposed to establish who can sell on here legitimately (according to the rules at least). I never saw yours change so I was just asking. My only concern is when non-paying vendors get free advertising while others have to pay for that privilege.

Congrats on the joining the NASIOC vendor list. Hope you do well.
