This isn't a funny phrase or question...but more of a funny story. About a month or so after I bought my WRX I was sitting at an intersection at a red light at about 10-11pm. There weren't really any other cars around, and as I'm patiently waiting for the light to turn green this POS neon crosses the intersection in front of me. I look up and see the driver is a 16-17 year old dude and is staring at my car. Not just a glance but would not take his eyes off my car to watch where he was going.

He was staring long enough that I said to my brother "What is he staring at?" It was about this time that he is getting past the intersection, when I hear a thud and see his neon jump up. He full on SLAMMED into the median at 40-45 mph. Didn't just bump into it, but almost half of his car was over the median. He then drove away, embarrassed as *****.

I loled at the reason he hit the median was from staring at my Subie, but at the same time felt kinda bad for him.

I was hauling a bed and box-spring on the roof rack yesterday and had someone at the gas station say "Is that for when you flip it over?". It was a little funny, but I heard the same thing twice more after that! I guess little sports cars with beds on the roof are more likely to flip :P

not Subaru related but I was in my subie and thought this was funny/lesson learner.

I was driving home from work at night when I see a car swerving all over the road. At a red light I go up next to it and it's this fat chick texting so I told her to get off her phone cuz she almost swerved into me and she started cussing me out saying I'm not the boss of her.

Well I was driving away from the next thing I saw was get swerving all the way to the right and BAM! right into the back of a cop car. When I saw the cop come out of the car I knew she was done for

This happened to one of my dumbass co-workers once, and he claimed it was poor brakes. They pulled his phone records and went ummmm looks like you sent a text just one minute before the accident happened, hmmmmmmm. I've even seen people on motorcycles texting while riding, natural selection at it's finest!

Washing the STI the other day at one of those self service bays. I'm in the process of rinsing soap off the hood/front bumper with the high pressure water sprayer.

As I walk around the fender I catch a guy in the corner of my eye about 2 feet away just over my sholder! WTF!

Surprised the hell out of me....(Age? about late 50's maybe, really sketchy looking)

Me: "oh!, hello, didn't see you there."

Guy: (No response) *Intensely stareing at the fog light covers.*

Me: "ok..."

Guy: (Looks up at me, *then proceeds to walk around fender*, stares at door.)

Me: "how' ya doing?"

Guy: *mubbles* "Just checking... if the stickers are legit" (I couldn't really make out what he said, the pressure washer was to loud, but im pretty sure thats what he said.)

Me: "I'm sorry, I didn't get that..."

Guy: *Looks up at me, looks back at car, turns around and walks back to a 1980's POS corrolla, complete with gapeing rust holes, with an older woman driving. He gets in the passenger seat , and they drive off. No wave, no smiles, dead serious.

I'm thinking "What the hell just happend."

My dad was driving my previous car back from service for me. He was stopped at a red light (for a while!) and a woman in a Nissan Xterra just drove into my poor Volvo at like 15 km/h.

When the police showed up she claimed that "her brakes had failed" but she was clearly playing with her phone at the time. With a baby in the back. Best part was because of her claiming brake failure the vehicle was taken away for testing, and when it came back OK she would've had to pay for the tow truck, the testing, AND dangerous driving charges.

He had to have been going slower than 45mph. For you to notice he was staring (in the middle of the night), comment on it, then the guy hit the median and still be able to drive away, I'm sure he was going much slower.

I wasn't in for hardly any time at all and when I walk out I see two of your typical college bimbos walk by my car. Then I hear girl #1 "look at that car just sitting there running. No one is in it, this must be that show bait car" girl #2 "OMG we're gonna be on tv"

I had the biggest wtf look on my face when I walked by them lol
